Questioning and trying to understand show some real growth for Chris. I think he's right he needs friends like Kyle. And thanks to to Kyle for helping Chris grow as a person. Good chapter! Thanks. Jeff
  2. Another good chapter. I wonder if Grandma will eventually come to visit. That would be interesting to watch. I can't wait to hear about Moster's conversation with the neighbor.
  3. Another good chapter, and a new one for me. It was great to learn more about the guys, even if it wasn't all pleasant.
  4. How nice to see Patrick and Peter sharing dinner and conversation with Anthony and John. Good job filling us in on John and Anthony. They are an interesting couple, and it looks like the start of a good friendship. Thanks. Jeff
  5. I 've been rereading this story and enjoying it as much as I did the other time(s). I don't remember much of this chapter, so I'm wondering if chapter 13 was as far as I read before. I'm not crazy about using sweet or adorable in a review, but Peter and Patrick are adorable, and their story is sweet. And I mean both in the best way. Thank you for the joy of a new romance! Jeff
  6. I enjoyed this time with Daniel and Raymond. The "won't call you daddy" line was hysterical! I am really enjoying this story you've created. More good writing! Thanks. Jeff
  7. I am rereading this wonderful story, I think for the third time. I had kind of forgotten how likeable these characters are. As I said in my comment from my previous read, I love the romance of this story! Thank you once again. I always read the other comments, and I was interested in your comment about Washington State (my home) and Nordic descendants, of which I am one. Though sadly, I am neither tall nor blond. 😄

    Chapter 1

I am not a horse person. I have loved animals during my life, but never more than people. I don't understand this boy or his parents, but their world does not seem dysfunctional to me. I get the feeling the parents raised him to train horses, and he's learned to do it well. My dad left the farm to be a city boy, so I do have "residual farm genes." Maybe that's why I found this intriguing. You have written several horse stories in detail. Is it safe to assume you were raised around horses? Or just a fan with good research skills? Always enjoy reading your stories. Thanks. Jeff (Sorry. After rereading my comments they seem a little disjointed.)

You gave us hints in the last chapter. I went back to reread and check. But boy, was I asleep or something. I didn't see suicide talk coming! I loved the analogy comparing fixing a building to fixing a person's mental health. Looking forward to reading more about Chris's healing.

    Chapter 15

Thank you for this wonderful story! Your writing was first rate; your characters believable. I am especially glad for the HEA.

    Chapter 14

Just realized I'd missed the last two chapters. I am quite pleased with this chapter. After coming to care about Daven and Kian, I am glad to see them having a chance for normalcy and happiness. Guess I'd better not get ahead of things. There's still a chapter to go. Thanks. Jeff

    Chapter 1

Hav8by just reread "Sanctuary" it seemed appropriate to reread this. It's just as wonderful and sexy as I remember. Thanks. Jeff
  13. I started rereading this story yesterday. Today was one of those days, and I escaped for a bit by bingeing the rest of the story. Hel, Aki, Ischa, and the supporting players, especially James and Peter are all so well written. In your usual style they are fully developed characters with real-to-life thoughts and conversations. This story has been labeled "on hold." I hope you will think about getting back to it soon. Thanks for this story and for making my day end on a good note. Jeff

    Chapter 4 - Aki

I had forgotten how much I liked Aki. And I can't wait for Ischa to stir the pot. Thanks. Jeff

    Chapter 2 - Hel

I agree with Cannd. Your descriptions of Ali (by Hel) paint quite a picture in my mind's eye! Reaching into my bag of often repeated praises, I must say you have a gift for dialogue. It never seems stilted or unrealistic. I'm rereading this story and enjoying it as much as the first time.

    Chapter 1 - Aki

Having missed two stories recently I am feeling a little neglectful of your stories, Sasha. I have taken to browsing your story list here on GA and looking for stories to read or reread. I didn't see a comment from me, but I know I've read this before. I remember how much I was taken with Aki and how curious I was about Hel. The other comments are pretty spot on. I know I'll enjoy rereading this story. Thanks. Jeff

Chris is writing about some really strong feelings and emotions! It is good for him to get it out. Maybe he can begin to heal and eventually become a positive member of a pack. I'm rea6 enjoying the story from Chris's point of view. Thanks. Jeff

    Family Matters

Liked the flashbacks. Loved the characters. Even Jamie's mom was bearable because he knew how to deal with her. Another great story where your talent for developing interesting, well rounded characters and believable dialogue shines! Sorry I'm late to the party on this story. I enjoyed it. Jeff

How did I miss this posting? In need of a Sasha fix, I started to look through your stories and found this one. Shapeshifters, horses, and characters you quickly come to care about could be your trademarks. I was suspecting the twist before it happened, but not by much. I'm not certain what it is, but there is something about your writing that draws me in every time. Thank you for another terrific story! Jeff

    January 2016

It was great to hear from Helen and Chatri! And two more new characters, Tank and Gamon, to add to the ever expanding list of friends and family. It was another relaxing Friday morning, enjoying a visit with CJ and company while waiting to go out on a half day sub job. Thanks. Jeff

    Chapter 12

Maybe Declan will become the person Bailey confides in, and the one to help him sort through the tumble of emotions he's going through. So good, it please write faster. ? Thanks. Jeff

It is interesting to follow Chris's thought process as he tries to unravel the mess his life has become. More good story, and still really liking the journal format. Thanks. Jeff
  23. I had never heard of Valdemar before reading this story. This story caught my eye in the list of new stories. I decided to read It, and I'm glad I did! I thoroughly enjoyed these characters. I have read other books where a writer takes a minor character from another author's story and creates a backstory, or even a whole story, about them. It always intrigues me. I've googled Valdemar and plan to find a book or two to read from the original series. It took me a minute to connect you with "The Cardmaker and the Caretaker" which is one of my favorite stories on GA! Thank you. Jeff

    Chapter 13

Somehow I missed chapters 12 and 13. I needed a Sasha fix today, went to your story list, and found them. Just finished reading both and enjoyed every minute! Marty and Hrishi were interesting from the beginning, but hard to like. Maybe frustrating would be a better description. Their relationship was hard to understand, except for the sex, but they became less hostile chapter by chapter. I really liked the way you finished with six years later. And you managed to fill in the blanks in a very satisfactory manner. I am going to assume a caring, positive relationship from here on out, with a return to the hot sex! Thanks for another story well done. Jeff

I wonder if Chris's "shrink" will do some counseling besides the journal writing. I think the journal may help him sort his feelings, but talking about what he did, who he was before, and how he's feeling now could really help. Because of his remorse, I am hopeful Chris can change and move forward. Thanks. Jeff
