I guess I need to go back and reread the previous story. I don't remember Alek being the bad guy he's become in this story. I remember the hiding in the closet part, but I also remember him being caring, tender, and supportive. I hope Liam can have his cake and eat it too: a new good friend, Nathan, and a new and improved boyfriend, Alek. More good reading; more good story. Thanks. Jeff

Hey Jim, Another fun chapter! And where did you come up with Sheriff Rafe? He was a hoot! It's always fun to see an arrogant asshole knocked down a peg or two. With their team behind them I imagine Jeff and Paul will come through the investigation fine. Maybe now they can get on with their lives, at least until the next problem surfaces. This was a most satisfying chapter. I'm glad to see Tilly and Miss Sybil united/reunited with their mates. Things have been going mostly smoothly and in a positive way. It must be time a new (or old and familiar) problem to arise. Thanks for more good reading about one of my favorite packs. Jeff

Well, you surprised me with the phone call to Alek's sister. And an interesting phone call it was too. The conversation with Nathan was really good. Summer is about to begin, and everyone is going their separate ways for awhile. I imagine the home by the Exorcist Stairs will be a place for everyone to touch base and reconnect. Lots of interesting tidbits from CJ's world in this chapter. It's interesting how much information you can share about the group in one conversation! Having been involved in an intervention, I know they can be pretty emotional. I hope things work out for Brad. As usual, thanks for a bright spot in my week! But what's up? It's only Thursday. It's been so long since high school it's hard to remember the attitudes and behaviors of the athletes. I was definitely not one (band geek), and neither were my close friends. There seems to be a bias toward football players by non-athletes. I notice it a lot in gay fiction. Declan is pretty messed up. It was interesting to have him think Chris was responsible for the change in attitude of the football team. We've found out a bit about Declan, now it's time for you to peel away a few layers of the mystery that is Bailey. I binged your story through this chapter today, and I am really enjoying it! Thanks. Daven becomes the hero and rescues Kian! How cool is that? I wonder how Naomi and the kids can stay safe, along with Daven, Kian, and Taewon. The only way I can see is to bring down Raja Securities, and that seems close to impossible. More good stuff coming, I'm sure! Thanks for this great story! Jeff

So much revealed in this chapter! With your usual ear for good dialogue, you're sorted Marty and Leon, explained Leon's homophobia, and given Marty and Hrishi some hot, but pleasant; not angry, sex! I think I'm even starting to like these characters.

You've provided some major food for thought with this chapter, Carlos. I am definitely on Owen's side of the fence on this topic. Sadly the problems with gun ownership, and the gun violence that goes hand in hand in this country, will not be solved soon or easily, if ever. I think Owen made a big compromise, much bigger than CJ's request for permission to take lessons. I hope CJ realises how lucky he is, and I think he does. Enough of that. Once again you have crafted a well paced, well written chapter. And thanks again for sharing your writing and this great group of characters with us. Jeff

I skimmed through the comments and one caught my eye. I hope he is calling Marty. And I hope Marty can be neutral enough so Liam can just talk through his feelings without pressure. I think I'm starting to lean toward team Alek after sitting on the fence for awhile. Love these characters! Love this story. Thanks. Jeff

I think Bryce is too wild for Nathan, but maybe he can lure him away. Liam needs to sort out his feelings about Alek and decide what he will do to move forward. Friends that mean well but push too hard can be a real pain. More fun watching Liam slowly get on with his life. Thanks.

This chapter raises more questions about the Adams family. The discussion with Ilya and Uncle Raymond was a lot more "James Bondish" than I was expecting. Makes me think the Adams are more wealthy and involved in stuff than I realised. I am not much of a gun fan, but I would guess it would be common in rural Texas. It seems appropriate to the story for me. There is still so much I want to know. Can't wait for more. Thanks. Jeff
