    As all the other reviewers have said, this is a sweet and uplifting story. People make mistakes, Roy for abandoning Randy at the lunch table; but they are also capable of making amends, Roy, Micky, Linda, they all apologised and setted things straight, one way or the other; Amy, building up her courage to stand with her friends. People make assumptions that are often off the mark, the people of Brent Cove and the high school students were more open minded than what Roy and Randy gave them credit for; Mrs. Danbury surely turned my assumptions about her on its head. Apart from the violence perpetrated by Mitch (or threats made my Roy), the whole story is infused with a gentle, civilised atmosphere; people coming to the realisation that you could change other's opinions with persuasion, acts of kindness and love. Even the most horrific events may induce a change of heart for more tolerance and understanding of those different from us ... Please thank Ivor Slipper for recommending this story at the end of his own version (you've both started out with same photo as a visual prompt).

    The other side of the coin, will there be Dawn and Light ? Taking on the persona of Lady Dawn and Lady Light ? From the Higher Planes of Heaven ? Please don't mind my random musings ... I wonder when this story will drive me out of my mind (like again) ? Since this chapter is sweet and have a celebratory undertone to it, the rise of the phoenix; maybe there'll be blood shed and mayhem in the next one ... Shall I start screaming now ? I'm really getting unhinged ...

    Every time one or the other wanted to start a meaningful conversation, they would be interrupted. Only a tender word and "bam" someone or something would come barging in between them ... I'm positive that both of them had been avoiding a more in depth / involved relationship (subconsciously) or else they wouldn't have been distracted by these inconsequential things ! Talk about frustration, I'm moving beyond just wanting to slap some sense into both Hrishi and Marty, and that is not a good thing ...

    I'm with Gary (Headstall), will more come out of this "backstage tryst"? The sex scene is so well written that the "feel good" factor is chart topping; it would be a shame if nothing else comes out of this encounter. Yes, I AM another die hard / fanatic romantic, I wish your characters will develop a bond deeper than a one night stand ...

    Arthur, Sybil ... Bill ... Did the promise / memory of an earth-mate / a love keep Arthur alive and hoping all through these years ? It is so uplifting and yet heart wrenching at the same time. There was nothing the earth mother could have done to stop the cruelty of the hunters (I strongly suspect that Authur just barely survived an attack) but she gave hope to him in the bond that he had started with Sybil. To live in such a state for so long and always yearning for his true love is both wonderful and terrible at the same time. Gary, you do know how to drop a bomb on us (quoting Kitt), all unaware, not a gram of suspicion ...

    I am a voyeur, I live vicariously through other people, in this case Emmett and Jian. "The end" - does this mean the end for me as well ?! WAIT a minute, "Innocent Sacrifice" coming soon ... :perks up: but it sounds ominous !

    It is all a f-cking mess that Penelope Lynton had created for both Alan, Peter and themselves ... One false accusation led to weeks of legal mess and extra work for Child Services, lawyers and everyone had to spend so much effort to untangle this sorry affair ... I totally understand Peter's reaction, but at least they still have each other ... tenuously ... Hurrah for Keidan and Steve, not only as being such good friends but also not deterred by this sh-t and still wanting to be foster parents !

    It IS better to err on the side of caution when it comes to the welfare of children, but nonetheless the situation had been and would continue to be stressful for all parties concerned ... I feel Tim has painted a rather drastic picture of a possible outcome for Peter; but to my horror, I felt I could have done the "I wash my hands of this whole child care business" because I would've been hurt deeply. No good deed goes unpunished, indeed ... :runs away wailing: (It is always a horror to find out that one is not as nice a person as in one's own perception)

    Their private dreamscape just gets better and better ! Emmett came from being too stubborn for love to a near perfect boyfriend ! Their interactions both emotional and sexual were so sweet ... At some point in time Jian should go with Emmett to visit his parents, there would be limits for Skype'ing to maintain a familial relationship in the long run (2 years is a long time). I think his mother missed him ... OH NO ! Only one more chapter ! :screaming: (again)

    @IBEX - slapping is a good idea as a wake up call ... I'm finally on board with the view that Hrishi should be blamed as much as Marty for the predicament that the two boys were mired in ... Well, at least they're now talking with each other ...
