Afraid there isn't anything that can be done about Wayne's father or those who put him there. At least the deviants at school have been denied their fun going forward.
You could well think, as Mr Berenson did, that some members of the school board were looking to find a quick solution to the problem they were presented with.
Some fathers do value athletic achievements much higher than academic ones. Perhaps because they were 'jocks' themselves.
Family after dinner meetings seemed to have become an almost daily occurrence. On this occasion though I was glad that Dad apparently had something to tell us so quickly. I'd thought it might be a few days before he got to talk to his attorney and found out anything.
Once we'd got settled Dad explained that his attorney, Richard Blake, was an old friend who he had met in college when they'd shared a room. I resisted the urge to smile when he said that, but I did feel Wayne squeeze my hand.
Glad you liked it @weinerdog The prompts just sparked something different.
You could be right about that story - who knows, I may even pinch the idea from George myself! 😀
Thanks for the comment @drsawzall
The Rover's Return
George walked in the spare bedroom thinking as he did so that it was odd he should still think of it in those terms. Once it had indeed been the unused bedroom they had kept for visitors, but nobody came these days. Indeed, what had been the used bedroom, not counting the one he slept in, was unused these days.
His son, Brian, had long since left home, married and then emigrated to Australia where he now lived on the Gold Coast near Brisbane with his t

Tag - List of Words
Use the following words in a story - a storm, a broken fence, a scared dog, a flash light, and an old typewriter.
Producing the evidence and shielding those involved in obtaining it, will indeed be tricky.
I think Ethan has realized that but he's not sure if Wayne reciprocates.
Nice idea to replace the camera @weinerdog, but the boys didn't know until after school the following day that the janitor had got the camera for them, by which time it would be reasonable to presume that Jackson would have noticed it was missing. Could have worked though if they'd known what sort of camera it was in advance.
Going to the media sounds a good idea as well, but I think they might have to take it somewhere other than the local outlets.
During the following week Wayne told me that he had spoken to the janitor. On his first approach the man had simply told him that he would have to consider what Wayne wanted him to do and suggested they speak again in a couple of days time. When Wayne saw him again he had still been reluctant to take the camera, pointing out that it was theft and if he was caught not only would he lose his job, but also go to prison. Wayne had then told him he'd asked him to get the camera because it was being u
Have to agree, the camera on its own isn't going to prove anything and being caught in possession of it would present major problems.
As they've not seen each other for years I doubt Wayne's father had any idea of his son's sexuality before now. Perhaps though having seen Wayne with Ethan he now suspects, although what he said to Wayne can be read in more than one way.
