I'm very pleased you rate them that highly.
The rest and recovery time for Adam has indeed cemented his relationship with his mom. It has sort of become the cherry on his muffin. 😁
And that is a great zombie story imo.
Patience does seem to be among Adam's attributes.
It'll be good for them to strike up a friendship with another gay pair of their own age. Luckily driving should soon be feasible for both pairs so being on the other side of town won't be a problem.
Rather doubt the DA's office would have had time to notify the Connellys, but as you say, it wouldn't have made an difference to events.
There have indeed been a number of baddies in this tale so guessing the gunman's identity wasn't easy.
It was fortunate Adam was at home or something other than his appendix would have been removed from his body later that day.
I'm sure he'll improve more quickly being home with Troy and his parents.
I guess the witch sensed an opportunity to rub salt into the wound.
Survive the week - not much to ask is it?
It sure does need something! Of course Troy has one of those 😁
There do appear to be several possible suspects, always presuming the incident does have some connection to our two boys.
I agree, Adam does look for the good in people rather than the bad. Hopefully that tendency won't come back and bite him. Mind you, it does seem that trouble tends to follow the pair around!
Birthday spankings appear to be an American tradition.
Glad you enjoyed the chapter. Nice to have one without traumas for a change.
Who knows if ma will read the letter? I suspect she will in the hope that Adam may have written something that she could use against him.
It has slowed down though 😀
I suspect most would have burnt it, but Adam isn't most. I suspect his thinking is that if ever he feels down now he only needs to look at it to recall how good they really are.
Troy likes finding little surprises for his Adam.
Adam feels for Kyle on the basis of 'there but for Troy and his parents' go I. Plus the thought of what is probably going to happen to him in jail.
The 'new' Adam was good, wasn't he?😁
He wants to go, but he's going to need to be very strong to do so as he will be on his own. However, he needs to prove to his mother that he has the strength to be there.
No doubt there once was love, but it has long since vanished.
Adam has a very forgiving nature. He'd like to believe his father did have some feelings for him and he hopes that his mother can meet him part way. However, can she or have her views become too bigoted toward her son?
It is a testing situation but one that has pulled the 'family' together. A trial would definitely be an ordeal, so hopefully a plea deal can be reached.
