I said it would be - just couldn't recall how soon. George soon came to realise that they have become a pair and the 'real' Billy, usually hidden under the bravado, is the equal of Chris - the ying to his yang, although such words weren't known back then! (btw - I think you meant post corporal punishment 🙂)

I can explain it, but for those who don't know I think it is better if the character who does know gives the explanation. I think that happens in a couple of chapters from here.

Thanks for the comments Bard. Glad you enjoyed this chapter and hope you'll stay to see how things develop. The thing they have in common is that both have run away from unsatisfactory upbringings. Billy is apparently streetwise, but despite all he has been through can still respond when someone shows him an act of kindness. At least provided that someone isn't an adult! Chris is very naïve about many things, but for him a different life had to begetter than the one he'd known for 15 years. George is undoubtedly lonely, but it is strange he would take in two young runaways. As for the 5 bar gate, that will be explained later in the story.

Glad you managed to stick with it Bard and appreciate you taking the time to comment. It was a story I knew would not appeal to all but showed that things aren't always as they appear.

Just wouldn't fit now. Hadn't thought about it that way as transvestism seems to have dropped out of the language nowadays. Perhaps we can agree on 'occasional cross-dresser'?

I'd say you were half right DQ as Danni wasn't really Trans imo. He just sometimes enjoyed wearing the clothes, make up and pretending to be female. On reflection it would have been interesting for Kyle to go home for a weekend with his new 'girl friend' and see how his parents took to Danni.😁

Daniel had been pushed into his own 'naughty' world and kit needed something special to bring him out of it. Put another way, falling for Kyle was something he couldn't skirt around.🙂

Things definitely warmed up in that chapter - and I don't mean just the pizzas.🙂 I think the only mystery here is whether theirs can be a long lasting relationship or if Mark will vanish back into the catacombs.
