This is a wonderful visit into the lives of Boone, Coy and Mitch from the original Sidewinder story. This tells a story of loss and pain and the feelings of mortality life has for us all. The twists and turns make this an outstanding read. I do recommend you read Garys first story, Sidewinder, to understand the feelings of the old west and discover the characters as they are developed with such care and emotion. These stories draw you into a time past and really make you feel the fears and pains for men who loved men in those unforgiving times. Read both and you will be glad you did! Gary, you are a very talented author and I will always look for your future works .

Aaron has reached a new high in creating a whole new feeling for shifter stories! This story brings the reader into a world that most would never even think about and it is done absolutely perfectly. The story begins quickly and captures the reader with the thoughts of "whats next?". The details of creating a character that is "so not what is usual" and believable is amazing. The main character is a deer shifter named Cyn and as per most deer he has a VERY limited knowledge of humanity and interaction in a human like way with aplha predators in the human form is so creative and enhansing that it is hard to put this story down!!! Give this a read and open your mind to an exceptionally well written story with a whole new look on other members of the shifter community, you will not be disappointed! Well done Aaron!!

This was a very interesting chapter and a welcome catch up. I also hope Mathew comes forward and gets the help and protection he needs. I have no use for Symonds, the church, the pastor and especially Don. Jamie is a sad but admirable character in the story. He adds a sense of real emotion that makes you take a breath and think very hard. Great writing Dodger. Looking forward to more!

I am all onboard for a followup story to see how our friends lives progress. There are so many possibilities for future events. I know you have said that often times people pass through our lives and we do not know more about them, but I also know that sometimes old friends manage to touch base again and catch up with us once more. In any case, this is a wonderful story that I will be happy to recommend to other readers. I hope that there is hope for our young people, in these times, to be accepted for who they are and not judged by others beliefs......

This is a story that will tell a tale much deeper that the story itself. This is a story of a wonderful young man that has been caught in the vicious realm of religious zealotry. Because of this he is cast out and left to the harshness of the city streets. Read on as @Ronyxtells a tale of anger, hatred, pain, caring, growth and acceptance. Travel this road with Matt, Trent, Evan, Hayden and others that light the way to a new beginning. You will not be sorry!!!

Ok, add to my last chapter comment and add the Sheriff and possibly Pete and his parents... I hope not, but time will tell.

I want pain and life long suffering for Matts and Charles parents and especially the pastor and his wife. Oh hell, toss in anybody else that was showing up for the meeting! I am thinking severe burns to the arms, legs and faces. Scar tissue is tight and brittle, movement is hard and painful. Burn scars are also very disfiguring. Yes, these things make me very vengeful and cruel! Not sorry... Good story, sad and painful subject!

These situations are offensive! Unfortunately, as long as the parents agree and no physical harm is apparent, the kid is fucked until they are 18 in the USA. By that time the mind fuck has done its damage. It is easy for me to say what I would do, but a kid raised in this environment is simply to frightened to actively defend themselves. If they do act out with violence the system looks at then like a delinquent and lock them up anyway. It is a no win for the kids. Now for what I would like to see.... Pastor Simpson would look good with a fork in each eye and the Book of Psalms shoved down his throat. Any other painful and graphic damage is simply extra credit 😇.

I am anti organized religion and this just makes my point! Nuff said...

As said below, this story is well written and is a twist on a classic fairy tale. This story holds true to the way power and money can best honesty, honor and simple rights in our society. This story has sections that really hurt, but this author leaves us with a glimmer of hope that good has a chance in the end. Give this story a read and I think you will leave at the end with deep thoughts and a big hope for future good. W L has a great talent to reframe a story and give us a modern version of a classic, while staying true to the original vision of the creator. Give him a try, you will not be disappointed.

Very good story. I have to admit the ending was both happy and very painful, but that is real life sometimes. I know that is what you were shooting for and you definitely hit the bullseye! Now be a nice teddy bear and give us a sequel to help Chip and finally screw Gary to the wall by whats left of his nuts! I also would like to see how everyone left moves forward. As long as we keep Brad and Beau in the story I would be happy to see this turn into a series. No, no pressure, never, not me, no................................ Very good work!

Great chapter. It continues to build the background and the building relationship between Brad and Beau is nice to see happening. It tells a lot that Brad is willing to try things to please Beau. If Brads medication extremes can be addressed he will have a much easier time being more social and less beastly...

This was an outstanding chapter. We learn more and more with every word you write. The Beauty and the Beast reference is amazingly done. The final scene with Brad was crushing as all Brad wanted was for Beau to be safe and happy. Yep, tears flowed. I agree you are MEAN, but in a lovely way . I am looking forward to several things, but two are at the top of the list: First I want Gary to suffer a long and miserable life being reminded of his evil every day! Second, I want Brad to get the medical help he needs so he can be less scared and more pain free. The Methadone has to go....please? The others also need their happiness......

I don't care how much height and muscle Gary has on Beau, a VERY tight twisting hand, sharp teeth or a scared out of your wits kick will put down the biggest man. The secret is once you have him down you do not stop kicking and screaming until you are pulled off the fight. That way you can claim emotional distress and in any case he will not be back.......

This was a very good short story. It makes one think about possibilities... Just remember smart phones, digital photography and the internet were science fiction 50 or so years ago...............................

Ok, Ok ,Ok.... Friends don't let friends.......... never mind . It really is not a problem once you know the problem exists. I have found no other problems with the Android/Firefox combination. I am glad you were able to replicate and confirm the glitch. It is always nice to know that the issue is real!!!!
