  1. The Searcher, to me, is a throwback to the high fantasy stories that I read as a teenager and gave me my love of the fantasy genre. Not only is it a fantasy story, but its also a romance. Both elements paired nicely with each other, and made for a fantastic tale. As an avid Table-Top Role-playing Gamer, I can easily see this storyline being the foundation of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Several elements of this story would play out well in a game, and made the world very familiar to me. If you love high fantaies or a fan of D&D or even Skyrim then this story is for you.

Excellent ending to this story, my brother. I think you did a fantastic job wrapping it all up. Excellent job.

    Beyond the Walls

Fantastic chapter, tim. I love the visuals in this one, and the tender moment between Stravor and Keter. The description of Hemothrance was perfect. I like how you incorporated the Fathril into this chapter as well, and it makes wanting to learn more about the living rock, a quest unto itself. Dayson and his revelations about himself being a witch and his lineage to Keter was a surprise. Loved it!

    From Within

When tim sent me the chapter to Beta Read, you had to pick my jaw off the floor for the plot-twist at the end. I had to re-read the entire last section a second time to see if I read it correctly. LOL. Another fantastic chapter. The description of the storm and trying to get to the temple painted very vivid pictures in my mind. The 'battle' at the end was vivid as well.
  14. I need to thank @Mikiesboy for suggesting Google's "Keep Notes" app for the smartphone. It's been a lifesaver this week!
  15. I personally liked 2010 better for the two movies. Never read any of the books. Sounds like you and Mike had a great time.
  16. One of the benefits of Beta Reading, is knowing what's going to happen, and waiting to see how others are going to react to it. This chapter had me going OMFG WTF!!!! All in a good way. Did not see it coming. And now I'm watching what y'all are saying and smiling that tim's story is having the same effect on you.

    Into The Storm

I'll say it again... Oh My F'ing God!!! That plot twist when Keter kills himself, to save Stravor from having to do it. I love it and this story is fantastic. This chapter like others have said, is a real rollercoaster of emotions. I love how Stravor fully acknowledges he loves Keter, tells him, and is willing to betray his god for the one that he loves.

    In Winter

Another great poem, you've written, my brother. I can see the images these words paint, and it does make me ponder our natural world v. our technological one. Also, makes one think about what is really important.
  22. You both will be in my prayers tonight too.
