I love reading Science Fiction and Fantasy stories. A lot of my personal work that is not published are in those genres, and generally it's something I default to when I do practice pieces. The bulk of my non-GA reading is in these genres as well. On GA I've been reading a diverse collection of stories, and poetry, and its been affecting how I write. I have a series of contemporary dramas set in my hometown. Something I never thought I would do. I like it and love the characters and storyline. Just really different from what I normally do.

Things have been better today than last night. Just a few showers, and a lot of wind.

Checking in safe, so far. Tropical Storm moving through Florida, all of Tampa Bay Metro area is under Tornado warning, several overnight. We're good here in South Tampa. Will check in later.

More adventures on Tampa's public transportation for me today. I give major props to tim who uses it every day. To get from South Tampa to my afternoon appointment, it's 4 buses and I have to leave the house by 10:30 am to be there before 3:30 pm.

First off, good on you guys for voting! Second, lot of hugs for Mike and you. Get some chicken soup (homemade, bone-in) into you both... and in tough cases like this, my phase 2 cure all, is to drink a nice Hot Toddy, and eat a pint of ice cream a day, until better.

I mentioned that tim's story The Searcher made me want to play my Holy Warrior again... Well, met AJ. He is a Priest and Confounder of the one true god, Forian, the lord of Chaos. Yes all those other gods exsist, but only for Forian's amusement. Forian has many sides, and AJ embraces Forian's doctrin of "Self-Satisfaction." Or as he explains it, "do what makes you feel good, and forget everyone and everything else. Live in the moment."

Hello fellow DiC'ers. I hope all is well, and everyone is doing good. Week 3 of environmental science is almost done. Good. I loathe this class. I've had to bite my tongue on a lot of things said in discussion, with the exception of me dropping a German 1942 reference on the topic that was being discussed. Don't want tim's thread locked and deleted for politics, like another one was, so I will not say anything political in public. This class is more politics than it is science. Anyways, I'm still alive, around, reading the forums, reading stories, etc. Just mainly lurking in the shadows.
