    Distant Truths

I've enjoyed reading these collabrative pieces you two do. This one feels special, as it shows love between two people. Not only as a Dom/sub but also friends, and something more than friends. Excellent job you two.
  2. Time for this guy to disappear for a while again. Hope everyone is doing well, and that life is good for all of you. This is something I recently shared with @Backwoods Boy about characters in a story, I've been Beta Reading for him off and on. However, after the events of the past few days, here in the Tampa Bay Metro Area, it's taken on a new meaning for me.
  3. It is, Mike. A lot more than I figured it would be when I was assigned the topic.
  4. It's been good seeing everyone, and thanks tim for the email convo. Now, back to my Research Paper on the Shay's Rebellion, and how it represents the "Tyranny of the Majority and why the founders made the Electoral College and the United States a Republic, and not a Democracy."

  7. I need to get that Whiskey Truck start-up going. Just drive it up to the work site.
  8. A very hard read, as it hits close to home for me, on several levels. A very fitting tribute. Thank you to the Poets and Authors who contributed.

    Choices

Mike, I recently learned there is a Stem Cell Therapy that reverses and cures Type 2 Diabetes. That's all I know of it, and it came from a person that had it done. They said it was costly, close to $10,000 USD. I hope this information is useful, even with as little it is. You and tim, will always be in my thoughts and prayers.

I hope to one day see the Redwoods, but that won't be for a while. Beautiful imagery you paint.
  11. Thanks, everyone. I'm still alive and kicking. Passing through.
  12. Two things: 1. Really proud of my brother for making Signature. Congrats again, tim. 2. I'm going AFK for several days, and won't be on GA during this time.
  13. Congratulations, my Brother! Well deserved!
  14. Thanks, AC.
  15. Sounds like a good idea. Hmmm. Where can I get some?
  16. Thanks, Chris!
  17. Farewell to the Light of my world When tears came, where were you? Loneliness is my lot in life, Punishment for my soul. But why am I being punished? What have I done to you? We have one specific moment, And mine passed in silence.
  18. Thank you, @MacGreg and @AC Benus. Normally when I attempt stuff like this, It's like me trying to write in C++. I can read it, but I have no clue how to write it. AC pointed out that the last line can be changed up some, and I like what he suggested. So changing it to: Farewell to the Light of my world When tears came, where were you? Loneliness is my lot in life, Punishment for my soul. But why am I being punished? What have I done to you? We have one specific moment, And mine passed in silence. I think it works a lot better.
  19. My attempt at a Lyric. I am by no means a poet, but after having a dear friend cry on my shoulder after his girl broke up with him, again and for good this time, I felt compelled to try again at one of AC's Zero to Hero. I used Poetry Soup to count syllables. Punishment - Farewell to the Light of my world When tears came, where were you? Loneliness is my lot in life, Punishment for my soul. But why am I being punished? What have I done to you? We have one specific moment, mine passed by in silence. -Me

    Rhyming Couplets

Poetry is like a foreign language to me, that I can understand when reading it, but writing is a whole-another story. That said, I like both of these. With Memorial day last weekend the symbol of the Poppy is very timely. I remember someone giving me a paper poppy on a bendy metal stem to wear, one memorial day past. I can't remember who, but I remember the flower and what it was a symbol of. The second poem, gives me a visual of a couple who have a daughter that is coming into her own. Perhaps its a sweet 16 party that is being held for her, or even a wedding. In either case the parents are proud of what their daughter has become.

    Death's Door

This is a fantastic poem my Brother. Took me a few times of reading it to see the bigger picture of it. The poem itself is a journey, one that is very familiar to us in the GLBT community, and perhaps we've all have felt. Your last stanza is the takeaway for me. Making sure people you care about know you love them. Even if they are thousands of miles away, and you have no chance of ever meeting in person. Again, this is fantastic, tim, and love ya lots my Brother.
