    Chapter 2

The more time goes on, the more Will reminds me of Stef. He has this innate ability to size up a situation, quickly analyze the possibilities, and come up with a workable solution on the fly. It's sometimes tough to remember that he is still very young because he can act so mature and rational. But I have no doubt that once he has Kiki and Kai safely ensconced at the guest house, he's going to come up with a masterful plan to deal with Malo and his thugs.
  2. I'm a little late to this party, but I'm glad you posted this. First off, I absolutely love Kevin. There, I said it. Four sentences was all it took to seal the deal for me. What a perfect combination of empathy and compassion with the correct amount of snark thrown in to keep you grounded. You're lucky that you found him and I'm sure he feels the same way about you. It's amusing that we guys are always being accused of thinking with our "parts", but we do a lousy job of listening when they are trying to tell us something. I'm glad that you finally went and got checked out and that you found out what was going on. Too many guys put it off and wait, and that can be deadly. I went to the doctor because I thought it was my blood pressure meds that were playing havoc and causing me problems. Ran the full battery of blood tests and testosterone was absolutely normal, but the PSA was a bit elevated. Long story short, it turned out to be prostate cancer. I was really lucky because they caught it fairly early and it was localized and hadn't spread. It's been a bit of a road coming back, but I'm doing well now and working on getting other things back to working like they should😉. There's a lot of things that can be done to help guys return to a normal and healthy life, so should something happen to you in the future , it's highly likely that you could be "fixed". You may just have to pop a pill, work a pump, or do a porn star shot, but you'll be up for that. Thanks for posting this Wayne. I didn't mean to hijack the comments, but I figured that it was a good way to piggy back some additional info to what you had started.
  3. @kbois you could script it out and role play by having him make practice calls (to you) when you are home. You go into another room in the house and act like you're the CSR and have him call you. Change your voice up when you answer the phone (I know it will throw him off, but that's the point) and run through the routine a few times. Change up your voice each time, so that he doesn't get "comfortable" with a particular voice. The more he does it, the easier it will get.
  4. Get out of my brain rick! You beat me to the punch with that post. I hate that your day started out so crappy, but I hope that it's gotten better. Oh and @Kitt, if we want to go back in time, how about manual chokes and 3 on the tree? LOL.
  5. I never got the impression that they were anything more than F*&k buddies. They breeze in and out of each others lives when it works out time wise, and there was no commitment or promises made. If Jason wanted more, he should have spoken up. Perhaps I'm misreading your take on things, but given how shattered Penn was after Nash left him, I have a difficult time believing that Penn didn't make his intentions perfectly clear to Jason. Another great chapter @Mrsgnomie!
  6. You're late to the party. We've been in the Twilight Zone this entire year, 🤣 We've had a cold front move in and it's a bit chilly, but a beautiful sunny day. I turned my heat on yesterday afternoon--I'll be damned if I'm going to be cold. That's great news about your son getting a job! I hope that everyone has a good day too!

    Chapter 39

My money is on Tsarevich Alexander. I'm betting that our George will cause him to cast his introversion to the wayside and reveal his true self. As for the forced conversion to Orthodox faith, I see that as a way that the Tsar can punish George and publicly give the appearance that they have submitted to his will. Your impeccable research and writing skills have again made for a great chapter @Mark Arbour. Your descriptions are so detailed and vivid that I felt as if I was standing right next to George throughout this entire chapter. Well done! I am anxiously awaiting the next installment.
  8. Lee wasn't about to disclose too much because first and foremost he is a lawyer. He wasn't about to give Nash any more ammunition to use in the divorce. His primary goal was protecting his assets if he couldn't get Nash back.
  9. So glad to hear that you're doing better and hopefully on the road to recovery rick. I hope you have a good evening.
  10. Hi rick, It's gloomy and very windy here today. We're catching the back wind side of Zeta and it's supposed to start raining later. It's just ugly hot and humid out. Way to hot for October! I hesitate to say it, but I've had a fairly easy day. Now that I've put that down in writing, all hades will break loose at 4:45 p.m. this afternoon. LOL. Take care of yourself
  11. @rickproehl Glad you're doing better. Lack of sleep just exacerbates tooth pain and problems. @kbois So you had a Monday on a Wednesday! Gee those are so much fun.....NOT!!! Didn't your boss just run off a good maintenance worker IIRC?
  12. @Fae Briona ice storms are the worst! It's amazing to me that 1/4 inch of ice can do so much damage to trees and the utility infrastructure. I'm in a subdivision where all the utilities are buried, but that doesn't mean a thing when the main transmission lines are all above ground. 🤞 for you. @kbois So glad to hear that you're having a great time and are revitalized. You deserve it. Enjoy the ghost tour.
  13. Same to you tim. I'm glad you dropped in and posted. It's supposed to rain all day, so that will give me some lazy indoors time. After last week, I need it!
  14. I agree with you. I can't see Penn not having a conversation with Jason, particularly in light of the Nash ordeal, but I'm not seeing any sort of deep thing going on with the two of them other than being F*%$ buddies. What I can envision is that Nash now realizes he has a good chance of getting Penn back and he's going to fight and fight hard for that. Of course @Mrsgnomie can always throw a huge monkey wrench into everything and we could have a Royal Rumble break out. And it wouldn't surprise me if the kids c*#k block Jason from Penn. They're 100% about Nash.

    Prologue

I'm glad that you're back with a new edition for the CAP series. So we're getting Will, all Will, right? YAY!!!
  16. I'm glad that you're able to keep your getaway plans @kbois. Sounds like fun and I hope that you have a terrific time! Work today beat the tar out of me, so I'm going to call it a very early night. Take care all and have a good evening.
  17. Did we make a bit of a mess?? I can sympathize because been there and done that. LOL

    Dangerous Waters

“It’s not proof of trust. It’s a fucking buttplug.” Glad I got that one right. I'm really enjoying Edward and Adrian. They've got each other matched blow for blow. Shane is going hard after Jared I got the strangest feeling when the three of them were discussing Ryan. I'm wondering if Ryan was the one who threw the punch?? Great chapter Laura. Can't wait for the next installment!
  19. Go home now. It's 4 o'clock......................somewhere. LOL
  20. That reminded me of a sweet lady I knew who passed away many years ago. She loved butterflies. To this day, whenever I see one I think of her. Thanks so much molly. I needed that today. 😊
  21. He's amazingly talented! Must run in the family. Like everyone else has said, please come and vent. We'll listen and offer up a shoulder to lean on and what ever else we can. Take care of yourself and try to remain strong.
  22. I feel for you. It's such a complex situation and it's got to be so frustrating for you. So if the job thing doesn't seem to be going anywhere, what about school? A few online courses at your local community college could maybe get him involved with something, and it shouldn't cost a fortune like a 4 year school.
  23. I'm not so sure that I agree with you on trying to apply instant gratification to to readers of a book, be it online or in print. I do savor a good book or story. Where I tend to get ill is when I don't see any real progression in terms of the story or meaningful character development. This doesn't apply to you however. Sometimes I feel that an author just goes round and round to fill up pages and it (unnecessarily) drags things out for weeks on end. Other times an author will employ numerous "cliffhangers" and that tactic gets old. Again, this doesn't apply to you. I just recently bowed out of a story that I was following for these very reasons. I have to say, I was very disappointed because the author had turned out some really good work in the past. I'll take quality over quantity any day of the week. You turn out quality and that's what is important to your readers.
  24. Morning rick, It's just mugly here. Already 77 with 73% humidity, so it's a typical southern fall day. Working from home today and trying to tie up a few loose ends because I've got to be in continuing ed class tomorrow.
  25. So I did early voting today. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. It was day 3 of our early voting period, and I have to tip my hat to my county elections officials. They obviously thought about things and the way it was laid out made social distancing possible. There were people there to direct the voters through the various stations and people were cleaning the booths after each voter. I was in and out in about 20 minutes. The longest part was filling out the ballot because it was front and back--a lot of positions are up in my county. There was a man in front of me who had to be in his mid to later 60's and he was born and raised in my county. It was his first time voting.....EVER! I was kind of speech less over that. I hope that everyone has a good evening.
