    Love it when you quote me, boy. I did used to drive in this stuff. I've seen some terrible accidents because of driving in crap weather. People do not seem to get it. Roads are not just the same, speeds cannot be the same. Stay the f home! … Used to drive me crazy. They go out, get into trouble and yet expected us, police, fire, ambulance to be right there. We.. they put their lives on the line. If people stayed home, then it would be safer for everyone. I know tim used to worry a lot.

    Mac, this was well written. This is early in this relationship. It's frankly sad and painful to read in parts. Though I want to hope it will all work out as you wish it to. It can take such a long while with the very troubled ones, if we can get them there at all. Thank you for sharing this glimpse.

    Excellent chapter. you slowly take us along. Each chapter giving us insight into the boys and their family and to some extent Max. Had you not, it wouldn't be believable. That suddenly they just said yes to fostering, that there was no cost to get there. We need this background for when we finally meet Max and he comes to visit. We need to know what drives the characters and these slice of life chapters build that for us. Great job, boy. xo

    Sometimes I feel I should tell the real story of Us. tim didn't come to me, the boy he is now. It's taken much time and effort. There has been a lot of frustration, anger but mainly frustration. On both sides. I know I pissed him off a lot. he kicked back, struggled, argued, he lied to me often … he didn't want to, he just didn't know any other way. And he'd say to me: I want to be a good boy. I'm no saint, or a miracle worker. I messed up. I learned when I wasn't sure I was right, or doing right with him. John rescued me on many occasions. During this process I became a better Dom, and tim a better boy. Today he spoke to me about gratitude and thanking me. Said he doesn't; he does, perhaps not how we do it in our world usually, but he does. I suggested he read, think about what other subs do. Then he showed me this blog. I couldn't be happier.

    Was changed very slightly to say leaves change colour now donning coats of red and gold as glowing farewell Do you think it flows better? Do you think it better completes an unbroken line of thought? Thank you, Mike, for taking these poetry prompts challenges! I'm really happy you are doing them. Hey AC … thank you. Don't be afraid to tell me like it is. I'm not going to wilt into a pile of tears if I messed some up. It's how we learn. I see what you mean when changing 'a' to 'as', that works and flows better. And I do understand about the puddles poem. Okay, love the feedback, thank you. I'll see what I can do.

    you're a good boy, tim. None of us is perfect, boy. Taking things for granted is natural, but life is better if you don't. Why? Because when you don't, you are more in the moment. Thank you, tim, I am grateful for our Life together also.

    Okay … so here are some haiku. Six to satisfy the prompt from AC's Zero to Hero Guide. waxy lily pads keep the green leaping frogs dry between awkward jumps the smiling dog runs his lolling tongue evidence of his happiness puddles line the walk jumping feet leave small footprints one of springtime’s games leaves change colour now donning coats of red and gold a glowing farewell coloured leaves taken by cold breezes fly and drop making bright carpets warm houses and cold make icy patterns on glass like dancing snowflakes
