Well no.. and I'm thinking Chris Kluwe is the minority. He's not openly gay, he's a straight man arguing for gay rights issues. He's taking chances that a lot of people in his position wouldn't take. It's a start, maybe more will voice it. Also, I read there is a young wrestler that came out of the closet and is trying to cause awareness about locker room homophobia, they say it is a really bad issue... which I can imagine... the word 'gay' and 'fag' gets thrown around way too easily.

Recently there has been a heated discussion between two players on the same team. The straight punter Chris Kluwe for the Vikings has came out publicly and politically in favor of Gay Marriage. He's also pictured in Out.com with a colorful and politically charged piece about a letter he recently sent to a Maryland politician about his views on Gay Marriage. Not going to post the link, you can find it easily enough with the information I gave you, but the pictures of him are delicious...

There isn't much drama in college football either.. Alabama will win the BCS. But.. since my beloved Reds hit the shitter early, I've not been a fan of Baseball Post Season.. especially since the St. Louis Cardinals finally got their head out of their asses and are marching towards another unsettling upset through the NL on to the World Series.

Relatability and Consistency is key. You have to give them enough human qualities that the reader/viewer can see the humanity within them so they can relate to them. It also makes them believable. Consistency! Don't keep adding or taking away from the character's ability(ies). Consistency is important throughout a lot of other genres, but in Fantasy/Super Hero stuff writers have the tendency to surprise readers with a new power or a new ability or a new hindrance to fit their plot instead of keeping the character within their primary mold. If you create a weakness.. don't take it away. If you create a power that goes one way... keep it going that way. Mind reading/Future telling seems to be the one most writers struggle with. Need to be careful and specific with the limitations and the way they do it.

The 'experts' say that my region is due for a major earthquake. I'm pretty sure none of the structures, like bridges, or buildings were planned with the thought of making it through a major earthquake. They are not something people could really predict when the pressure is too over loaded to cause the earthquake. We are though better prepared for Tornadoes, with the live Doppler and the news, sirens, and phone calls. Unlike earthquakes, tornadoes are predictable based on weather patterns, air masses/pressure, and temperature. Different regions are likely more prepared... and I think if people prepare after a few disasters the better. You can learn how to react and prepare for an earthquake by following what people do in earthquake prone zones. Learn how to stay safe within a structure. What supplies would be best to keep in a secure/safe place. There are some things you just cannot prepare for though.. like the power plant, if it fails, that's not on you. That was a loss for the experts, their failure. Usually individuals and what the individual needs. Personally - I am not prepared for any natural disaster. (Slaps wrist.. bad Krista bad)

Yeah.. his Daddy will get worse before it gets better.. hint hint.. I was actually worried about how Cora - his mother will be portrayed throughout the story. Glad people are seeing the.. sort of subtle strength and power she has over her husband.. Even when he's growling like a big bear.. lol.
