    All wonderful in their individual ways. Haiku has always been one of those forms of poetry that is beautiful in its simplistic way of expressing an image. 'Secrets' and 'Wisdom hold some great imagery too. Thanks Gary!

    Yeah... you know it's hot when the swamp puppies (gators) won't come out of the water. Stepping outside in July/Aug/Sept is like walking into a gym sauna.. stinky humanity and all. I don't allow the maintenance guys in my office after 10am... lol. No amount of deodorant can combat a "feels like" temp of 115F when the humidity is hitting 90+%. Speaking of swamp puppies... it's gator mating season so keep your pets away from any body of water if you're in the Southeast US. 😁🐊

    I know life has interfered with both of us and our writing progress. It's been a busy late winter/early spring. Too much stuff to do in real life. We're hoping it'll change soon for at least one of us.

    Crutches would probably mess up my shoulders.. at this point what's another joint issue? I may ask for a walking boot... or maybe just do some Ama-zone impulshopping if I can't sleep. 🤣

    Depends on who you get going through TSA. Just got back from the foot doctor. Not great.. but not horrible either. Ended up with a cortisone shot and another appointment for next week. If there's no significant improvement it's off to the MRI chamber I go....

    I do airport pickup service.. even can get reimbursed for mileage and tolls.. lol. You might have to scrunch down in my car... maybe... there's a good amount of head and legroom. There's a sunroof you can stick your head out if needed. 😆 I'll keep you in mind for further services... can you bring your cane?

    It ended up being OK.... even though a certain extra tall ex-cop couldn't make it down here in time lol. I took two of my guys with me but no one answered the door...which we pretty much knew going in. The notice was posted and I have the neighbors on both sides on the lookout for me. If either unapproved occupant is still there on Thursday then it gets elevated to the legal department. I don't need to go back there again. Apparently the Sheriff's department handed out flyers with the guys info and picture to all the neighbors so most everyone in that section is aware of him. You know how these communities are... they’ll make it perfectly known that he's being watched.

    Happy moment this morning... On my way to work I decided to take a different street out of our neighborhood to avoid traffic at the busy intersection. We're close to an elementary school candidate when I got to the stop sign there was a crossing guard there.... an older guy probably in his 70s... .... he was smiling and waving to all the cars going through the intersection. What a nice way to start my day! I hope everyone has a great day!

    I'm really not a fan of Mondays at the moment. I'm by myself in the office with one maintenance guy and my housekeeper for now. I'm trying to hire a front desk person but haven't had much luck. Anyway... I just found out there's a registered sex offender living on one of our annual sites... so I get to deal with that tomorrow when my assistant will be here. I will never go by myself to deliver a notice to vacate the premise under those circumstances. Oy...

    We just passed the height of our partial eclipse... I'm still here, haven't been raptured... (like I'd ever make it through the mythical pearly gates in the first place). I stuck my head outside and didn't notice any difference. Ours was only about 65%... last time it was more like 80% and it got dimmer. I guess I can stick around another 20 years... Florida will get the total Eclipse then (cue Bonnie Tyler). Enjoy the rest of your day!

    It breaks my heart every time I hear about these instances. It's not just bully breeds... even "gentle" breeds like a golden retriever can turn. Dogs have been domesticated, yes.. but they still have wild instincts. Even a chihuahua's bite can be deadly if inflicted in exactly the right spot.. especially a small child or infant. I'm not sure where I saw this but it's a good reminder; The sweetest dog can bite. The meanest dog can wag its tail.

    I saw a posting online... this guy said he'd love to buy a bunch of blow-up dolls... fill them with helium and let them go during the height of the eclipse so all the religious fanatics will think it's the Rapture. 🤣🤣

    Don't feel bad.. they're funny memories now. My brothers loved to get me riled up when I was little. It was their mission to see how long it would take before I had a meltdown. (Not long btw). Of course they did it when mom and dad weren't around. I have no regrets when I get in a good zinger, especially with my middle brother.. lol.
