    Chapter 67

Reading the comments above I had forgotten just how many fronts Granger will have to face on his return to Brentwood and London. Above all, St Vincent……. Surely George must be forgiven after Spencer’s intervention? Mark, this wonderful story seems to be drawing to a close but five years of reading your stories leaves me decidedly nervous… Be gentle, please. fantastic stuff and as Canuck says: A feeling I wholeheartedly share 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

@ObicanDecko I am having so much fun reading this story. It is not at all like the type of story which would normally capture and hold my attention, nevertheless it has. I totally agree @Summerabbacat well said

    Opening Ceremony

I’m intrigued- this is quite a challenge to construct I imagine, but the start is excellent. And I just about to hit chp 2. good work, author.
  9. A serious critique. As an aside, I teach writing for students doing Cambridge University exams in English as a foreign language. 25% of grade is for “communicative achievement” - and this is where your review is so good and I will use part of it, with your permission, as a perfect example of how people fail in this part, see para three. “Supposed to be the musing…” a great review and a model for others to use. Thank you so much and I hope what I say makes sense!
  10. Over the last months this is one of the best stories to appear on GA. Racial tensions mixed with inter-racial gay love is a powerful theme and the author pulls it off perfectly. this is not an easy read and in no way “titivating”, but it is both thought-provoking and enjoyable with a pair of great teenagers on the way to becoming men. Highly recommended.

Patience, please, dear author. This is a great and v moving story.

    Chapter 20

Thank you. Very well said, indeed. Here in Spain, posts such as Head of News in regional tv channels are political appointments. Need one say more….
  13. No. None Sadly, I once had an adopted child in class, an eight-year-old strange lad. One day he came on to me, posing sexually, tongue out etc. I fled to the psychologist who explained that the boy had been saved from a trafficking and porn network in his home country. There is no reasonable explanation.. A thought-provoking section, mrs g. ps the babies are growing on me!

    Life as a Family

Having once been vomited on by a child in the next seat, I remain convinced that the heated space below where pets travel is perfectly acceptable for babies too young to cope with air pressure changes. Or charter a plane.

    Chapter 54

Wow! Mr A sidesteps us all, including Z**h haters. But…… is it going to be definitive. Sadly, many people forgive domestic and other violence until they are strong enough to get out or keep returning to the cycle of abuse. Another thought, I’m rereading the series and have to admit that Z##h’s character is more subtly drawn than I remember- kudos to the author’s talent. GREAT EPISODE 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
  16. Gosh, Theo. I was introduced to Abbot Suger in 1973 in medieval history class. I was so inspired that I ended up doing a doctorate on one of the rival monasteries, Fleury or St Benoît sur Loire. Light, colours etc., are an inspiration. Modernist architects like Gaudí knew what they were doing. 🤗🤗
  17. Try the cava wineries for amazing modernist architecture as well.
  18. Well, not too far south of Barcelona it’s been a gloriously warm/hot day: 30°C on the balcony. Barcelona is an utterly amazing city. However, uncontrolled tourism and the horror of AB&B, are causing big problems. bit to focus on mr CJ and family…. A great chapter and Imcant wait to see them island hopping in the Med. good one, Carlos

    Flux

Another really good installment of the CAP series. The focus is almost entirely on the internal development, for good or ill, of some of the key players. Direct or indirect survivors of 9,11, all are damaged and in various stages of unaligned healing. This imbalance provokes much of the drama that lies within this excellent story. Essential reading for newer readers in love with “ Gap Year”, here you can see Will at his best. great book from an awesome writer.

Just a little bit Joie J……l hee hee
  22. From beginning to end this is a really great book. Hugely funny, sexy and sassy. Not all is sweetness and light, dark themes enter and the dangers of internet gossip and worse appear. And then there are the characters, a great ensemble, really well-depicted by the author. If you haven’t read it yet: START NOW!

    Epilogue

So, bad guys can become good guys, and good boys can be a little bit bad.. A great story, Laura, one of my highlights in GA 2022.
  24. A great double installment.. thank you Dodger! Now if only Don and the “pastor” could have a boat trip and sink offshore that would make me, and perhaps others, very happy 😃

It strikes me as very strange that there is no review of this amazing story. Perhaps it wasn’t the custom 8 years ago. However now in 2022 I feel it should shine with 5 stars or 6 were that possible. This is one of the Crown Jewels of the GA collection. Fiction involving real events is always tricky but to try to do it justice with an event like 11 sept is a huge challenge which the author meets completely. A truly amazing novel, I’m in awe of Mark’s abilities. Congratulations to him and his team.
