I think this ‘excursion’ to Spain is a v clever way to fill in the months of peace before Granger returns to oversee the drama of Princess Amelia and her pregnancy…..     SMy last haircut in Toni and Guy in London 25 years ago was £60 plus tip. Here at Toni and Guy Valencia my last cut was €30. I shudder to think what they charge in London today!

    It’s been rainy. Drizzily to be exact. Rather rare here. In fact there is no complete verb/noun/adjective for drizzle in Spanish except in a roundabout way. Normally, if it rains here it is RAINING!! Yesterday 35°c in mountains for lunch, today 17°.

    We had it twice a month in Hall of Residence in Rome. Discretely called ‘boiled meat’ on the menu. Considered by some as a delicacy, I used to go out for a pizza instead.
