Im a bit confused re this development. Not sure I can see St Vincent agreeing to anything that might help the Spanish navy. If it is the price for being able to spy on various ports, perhaps. I await with great interest how this next section is going to develop. as ever, thank you, Mark

Am in an exceptionally good mood after writing 2,500 words of my next installment of my serial. Amazing since the wieners disapprove of me sitting typing at dining room table whilst they sit perched on the edge of the sofa waiting for a more worthwhile activity, ie, taking them to the beach. They don’t get that my creative genius needs peace and quiet, not disgruntled ‘woofs’. Anyway, a good day, beach walk did us all good. Have a great weekend, everyone. Ps, being naughty, after watching international news my word of the day is ‘hubris’….

Ours have a 3-course luncheon after being on the beach - kibble plus a bit of ham or chicken, a baby carrot and then doggie yoghurt or a biscuit. A formal dinner is served on return from evening stroll - small portion of kibble with a squirt of salmon oil (Omega 3) and half a biscuit. No wine as they are teetotal.

They were v happy as they got fed an hour earlier. Then, however, they spent the evening haunting me for another meal! Now they are fast asleep and snoring 💤

Am I alone in hating the hour change this am in Europe? No. 93% of Spanish pop hate it; European Parliament is kind of against it but with 800+ members it’s hard for them to agree on the day of the week, and the science says there is no benefit. And our dogs are sure confused!

My school motto was also in Latin: “Olim meminisse juvabit”. (Rough translation, one day you will remember and rejoice) So true, looking back at a wonderful state school with no bullying, great success at getting us into top universities, etc. It is hopefully true of past good relationships and perfect for Granger thinking of Travers.

I would have loved to have travelled to Canada when younger but the cold 🥶 Here balcony bulbs are out, our baby plum tree is covered in flowers (I thought it had died), and it reached 25°C/ mid 70s today. After the deluge of rain in Galicia it’s nice to be home…. Until temperatures reach 30°C+ in a couple of months. Then rain would be v welcome.
