My goodness @Lee Wilson, you’ve got people thinking 🤔 Yet again, you offer a story which would never have interested me but for seeing your name. I will keep going but having watched half of a Finnish Netflix film, Sisu, about a one man vengeance on a group of Nazis, I’m of an evermore nervous disposition.. as ever, for me, Lee, its your writing skills which force me to read on. As they say here, “Eres un crac”. But please be gentle with me 😘

Worth reading just to learn of ‘a humblebrag’. I’ve never seen this before, either as one word or two, so @Summerabbacat will be saddened at another display of my ignorance. It’s a lovely way to illustrate what Venetia lacks: modesty. Another classic, @Robert Hugill! -

I’ve never seen a guy with a mullet cut who looked remotely intelligent- true in the 70’s- 80’s and even more so now. Not that I’m opinionated, of course…. 💇♂️

A great comment @Summerabbacat. I suspect this is a more common reaction than I would have thought. A sad chp for the youngsters and a challenge for Brian and Gordon. The story continues to impress me. -
It was always Fahrenheit until we were joining EEC, now the EU. I can still remember learning the conversions with plus and minus 32 being involved. At least one I can remember 28°C =82° F. (Ok 82.4 if we are fussy!).

Here in Valencia it’s a v comfortable 20°+. Preparing myself for 2024 tax claim on my retirement payments. Hard to face 30-35°% tax rate ripping through every penny Ive ever saved but that is life here. You win the euro millions lottery in uk, no tax. With same numbers here 20°%+ tax. Still, we have the sunshine free, at least.
