    Not sure how I missed this little gem. It’s a lovely tale of the “perfect” son setting out to find himself and how he struck gold. It’s beautifully written, of course, and well worth a read. its put a smile on my face and brought some memories back. Well done 👍

    Post Brexit the rules changed for acceptance of uk documents in EU. Uk guidelines dont show this. So first attempt was rejected for not having an “apostille” attached to my uk documents. Then with second attempt they rejected sworn notary declaration for not quoting a 2004 law. Finally all done. Means I’m safe from eviction by partners’ horrible relatives and we both get widower pension rights in uk and Spain. Not much but some security.

    Hi everyone! Just want to share some great news: after a year, three attempts and 1000£ in fees, I now have a civil partnership approved in Spain. 25 yrs after a one night stand and we have survived!!! So happy.

    This resonates with me too. I attended three primary/elementary schools all over England, one of them twice. At the age of 10 the lad from Manchester landed in Kent, s of London, to be ridiculed for his weird accent. Fortunately I survived but shed many tears as the outsider. Secondary education, at least was in one school and an excellent one at that. great writing
