So, so good. I’m looking forward to re-reading the whole story once complete. I suspect I will find nuances that have escaped me thus far. This has become a worthy part of @Robert Hugill’s collection.
Yes, it feels as if we are there, on the beach, on the deck, everywhere, with these characters. The prose is just a joy to read except when we are taken to feelings that are too uncomfortable. Easily my best read of the year, so far. But just how much torment still lies ahead?
A great start @Laura S. Fox. The story looks v promising. Have to say though, if I were there it would end up as a murder mystery… or no mystery. 10 days….. of Hell.

Not sure how I missed this little gem. It’s a lovely tale of the “perfect” son setting out to find himself and how he struck gold. It’s beautifully written, of course, and well worth a read.
