    Mark, I’m not sure how it felt after writing the words “Final Chapter”; it has been an epic journey for both hero and writer. I am sure, however, of what the reviews will be like once the status is changed to “completed”. But ‘til then, many, many congratulations on a most marvellous trip that has been developing all the time since before and after I joined GA. Bravo 🎉

    I have just read this after being redirected from a new comment. But I am grateful to read Mrs G and kbois reactions because sometimes with the huge “fan comments” that they get we almost lose sight of the story behind the “crac” which follows. I’m waiting for some peace and quiet to finish mrs G’s latest, and I apologise for the absence of my stunningly insightful comments! They will be back. Meanwhile happy Halloween and let’s bring back human sacrifices instead of trick or treat! Love you both enormously xxx

    This is a leap of faith in a v different direction to what one might have thought. The story is, of course, beautifully written as one has come to expect of this highly competent author, but this time I feel the author has put themselves “out there”, out of their comfort zone, and allowed true feelings to emerge. It reads like a cross between a story and an essay. Im not sure that I “enjoyed” it but it has got me thinking, a lot. And for that I truly thank this great author. X

    A thought-provoking piece. As someone whom”lost” his Catholic faith 25 yrs ago, initially this anthology didn’t appeal to me. But I. Now on the third piece and am thoroughly enjoying the writings. Many thanks @kbois your tale is beautifully told and your later comments show how coherent your arguments are. 🤗

    another reviewer used the word ‘beautiful’ and this really is a beautifully told story. Post war, post combat, two damaged heroes( in my humble opinion) edge closer and closer. I know the author has many fans for her great stories from a different genre, but this story show real quality and gritty realism. I absolutely loved it. Bravo!!!

    Would you, a fairly popular guy, take a leap of faith and chat to the loner who eats on his own? This a tale of such a leap and it is beautifully told. Highly recommended.
