    That could definitely be part of the reason why Loren is letting is slide. He knows they're being watched and not just with eyes. The relationship is new. The last thing he wants is for this very fragile thing that has him so exposed to be broken in front of millions of people. Being with Jay is like a fresh skin graft, you have to be gentle about the exposure.

    You're right, Jay is very exposed. I don't even think I realized it until you mentioned it, but I can see it. He does love Loren and fear can be crippling and make you react in ways you normally wouldn't.

    I also think Loren thought it wasn't worth the arggo...for now anyway. They're on they're first trip as a new couple. It's normal, I think, for people to suck things up for the sanctity of the bigger picture.

    For the record, I hope I didn’t come off as argumentative because that’s not my intent. It’s more food for thought. I think there’s some valid points for both!! And some points I probably haven’t even considered.

    So, is it okay for Jay to do something dangerous because he makes millions doing it? Not okay for Loren because he doesn’t? One could argue that it is Loren’s job, in a sense, and that he probably makes as much as Jay. Curious what the real difference is.

    First trips are the worst! I remember mine with my husband, we almost didn’t survive. Now we’ve been married for 15 years. There’s still hope to come for these two lol. It would be unrealistic to assume that a new couple like them would have a perfect first outing and a happily ever after so soon. Plus, That ain’t my style

    We could have used Jay in this chapter to step up like he always does. He knows how to communicate and how to be better, but he’s human, too, at the end of the day. it wasn’t the ideal compromise but I think it’s as good as Loren could give…for now. They still have SO much to learn about each other.

I wonder if Jay forgot just how sensitive Loren is and how much his little criticism would effect him. I think Jay is used to having things his way. Loren will be an adjustment for him.
