  1. Well I suppose mine doesn't make much sense without the explaination, so... Way back when my Grandpa was looking for a job in Alberta he decided to change his last name to something more british so it would be easier to find one. I'm not really sure if that was due to a racist thing or what. Anyway the last name I should have is Mykytiuk. It is pretty unusual so I naturally liked it. After a geneology project in school it almost became a nickname for awhile but I adopted it for an alias on the net, mostly because it was unique enough I didn't have to add numbers to the end for a screen name. So anyway Myk is just the short version of it and for some reason it has just stuck for me. There you have it.... Greg
  2. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! CJ, Graeme and Steph, thank you all so much for making this anthology work! Also congrats on the new job Graeme! I'd also like to thank all the authors and editors/beta readers for their contributions, especially Sharon and darkfoxprime who pulled off a last second miracle for me! I'm really looking forward to reading all the stories, so thanks for making it possible! Greg

    The Donor Got Jacked

Something interesting to think about though (feel free to replace interesting with evil)... When his liver does fail, would you be willing to donate a part of your liver to him? I know, I know....I am evil but I think it is an important question to ask yourself....if not now, then when his liver does fail and he comes begging for help (maybe). Greg -who believes in karma to some extent
  6. Hope you are healing up nicely.... ...and that both you and your mom are doing well! Greg
  7. Wow, whomever wrote that is quite possibly insane, but worse I understand it so completely I could have written it myself, if I were that tallented a writer. Does that mean I just called myself crazy? lol....kevin that is one of my favorite lines in the whole movie... "Four days ago...you chased a bottIe of aspirin with a bottIe of vodka." "I had a headache."
  8. Yay, chances of attending just increased from nothing to slim I think this is a reasonable decision....you guys have to make sure that this event is what you guys want it to be, so if you need more time then that is a good decision. Trebs: Greg

    Warning: Fragile

I'm not sure I can add much to what the others have said.... There are times when we all just need to vent a huge amount of emotions and in those moments we can fell like the whole world is falling apart no matter what we do. Sometimes it is just best to let it fall apart, let yourself fall apart and then when you are done venting, pick yourself up and start again anew. There are lots of sayings along the lines of 'Everybody falls, it is getting back up that shows what your made of.' Besides for me these are some of my happies times (I'm weird! ) because you can learn a lot about yourself and after the storm has passed everything is just a little bit sweeter, brighter and more fun. Sometimes being alone does just suck but using someone to fill in a hole in your soul (or whatever) doesn't work for long. I know what it is like to look for someone else to accept you for who you are instead of just accepting yourself as you are. I'd rather be alone than in a bad relationship, but if you don't put yourself out there, vulnerable, fragile and ready to be hurt, how can you ever find true love. Still if you arn't completely comfortable with yourself then how can you expect anyone else to be? Jamie, your an amazing person.....and I don't even know you that well! I hope you find confidence in the person you are when everything else has crumbled away. e-hugs Greg

    IRON MAN

I saw Iron Man last night and personally I really really liked it. I'll be honest in that I wasn't really expecting anything from it but I was pleasantly surprised by the movie. Greg
  19. ....I mean that isn't funny .....I thought wars were generally longer than 3 days, no? Greg
  20. hahaha....that is currently beyond us, both biologically, scientifically and medically. The male body just isn't designed to support or handle a fetus.
  21. ***Warning: described within are anatomical/physiological specifics on this topic, if you don't want to read too many details I recommend stopping here*** This case is definitely real, there was a big story about it on the news awhile back. Also like the article said there has been at least one (probably a lot more) births from transgendered individuals. The main thing to remember here is this is an ordiary woman with some testosterone in her system, that is about it (and the breast reduction). They stopped the testosterone injections before inseminating. It would also be VERY irresponsible for the doctor that did the insemination to do so while the person was on testosterone injections. Females still have testosterone in their system but not nearly as much as males. What would happen if she still had testosterone in her system when she was pregnant? Well I'm not sure you want to know. If the baby was a girl she would have female pseudohermaphroditism, where her internal reproductive organs would be female (ie ovaries, vagina) but would have a larger clitoris that looks like a penis. If the baby was a boy this wouldn't affect the reproductive organs. In both cases the increased testosterone could affect the development of the fetus. Well like azure dragon said, she is biologically female and did not have complete gender reassignment surgery (just breast reduction and testosterone injections). As for her menstrual cycles.....again, I doubt you want to know. Basically with her hormone therapy she would stop having menstrual cycles. By stopping the hormone therapy she could once again menstrate and get pregnant. Sorry to get all medical on y'all.....hope it helps things make sense. Greg
  22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Faust!!! Hope its a good one Greg
