“Delicate Flower!” What a nickname! I bet she smiled coyly when he said it, too. I hope everything goes well with Bernie’s Papa. It seems like Bernie would love to be Karhu’s cub in reality, not just as an endearment. Karhu has been so poorly treated for so long, however, he will be needing someplace to recover. Will that be the Academy or Atikokan or someplace else? I understand the discussion from the last chapter about just how much he should be held accountable for his actions over the past millennia, but it may be that he redeems himself during the upcoming battle, also. (Not that I am trying to guess ahead!)

I wish my Bonnie would lie down in a corner! Whenever I am at the kitchen counter, even it it is to do the dishes, she is right there, asking for Whoopsies. There’s always some coming when I cook! Thor running for his Daddy was precious! Bonnie gets so excited when we come back to her, I think her Tail of Perpetual Motion will fly off! My parents and I had a dog who could actually tell us when someone was on the way home, hours before they arrived. We tested it by checking when my brother, who was traveling with a drum corps during the summer, would get on the bus. She always knew. We knew when he was supposed to board the bus, and we would say to her that he was going to come home. No reaction, then, suddenly, she would go bonkers. When we checked later, that was when he stepped on the bus. She also knew when my Dad got on the plane to return from his National Guard camps. One time, we went to pick him up, only to find out he wasn’t on the manifest. They wouldn’t let us on the base, as a result. YOU try to explain that you know he’s there because your dog is going insane in the car looking for Daddy! They did find him and we got him. Never did find out what happened, but Daddy was upset when we told him.

OMG! Supreme Alpha Secret Boyfriend and Sweet Buns! I could see everyone rolling on the floor laughing and screaming and crying with this one, to the utter confusion of the boys. Good thing they were fast on the draw with their Mute buttons! Really never saw Apollo and Banshee coming! She’ll keep him on his toes, though, when she isn’t making his face red with embarrassment! 🐺🐺 They’ll make good Mates. Well, the battle is on the way. Hopefully, Apollo and his cohorts will get there in time. They’re going to have their hand full with this one.

Wow! That was quite a chapter! I wondered if what happened to the movie characters would affect the real-life actors, but then, you put them back as if nothing happened, so I guess it was a moot point. Pedal to the metal, guys! Talk with the boys and find out what happened to them and call in the troops. Maybe you should have a video call while you debrief the boys so Matthias, Ezekiel and the others can hear this first hand. You may want to bring in the Council, too, since so many Lycans are involved!

This was a fun chapter and, for once, I actually understood what they were talking about! On the other hand, this Midwestern girl, with family from the Omaha area (my Dad was actually born there), has to shake my finger at you. Omaha doesn’t get Broadway theater?! Au contraire, my friend! I don’t know if you’ve actually been to Omaha, but it is the largest city in NE and completely metropolitan! I just remembered the first time we had an electric car rental in Orlando. (We were there for the annual JDRF conference for our great nephew (his parents brought all the family down over several years to learn about it so we could take care of him in an emergency)). We didn’t know what to expect with the silent running and thought the car had stopped for some reason! We really liked it once we figured out how it worked, but it took us about 15-20 minutes to do so! 😂🚗

Just a comment on the Kia Niro. I was given one when my Soul was in the shop for repairs after my tire shredded after hitting a nail and did major damage to the ball bearings, sensors, etc. We had it for several days. I loved it! It was comfy and easy to drive. I’m not looking for a performance vehicle like JJ is, obviously, so something like this would be a great choice in the future. We had to be flatbed towed to the dealership from the side of the highway. I was afraid to get out of the car! We had to call a nephew to pick us up. We were going to have to pay for the rental until they found all the damage, then it fell under insurance! Yay! That saved us a couple hundred $$$!

At least Bernie has found friends who not only believe him, but will help him! He must be so relieved! I agree that Matthias’ (stupid auto-correct!) is not great, but right now, it is probably the best they have, especially on short notice, unless someone comes up with something else. On a side note, it’s good to see you back. I’m sure I am not the only one who misses getting my daily fix of our favorite werebears when you don’t get to post for any reason! 🐻

I’m glad the people in charge are listening to JJ when he starts making comments. He doesn’t talk just to hear his voice! He genuinely has things to contribute to the project. That said, my head is spinning! My eyes are crossed! I completely understood the idea of the HVAC before JJ even started talking about it, but the rest? WAY beyond me! I’m glad to see I’m not the only one sinking with confusion about the rest. 😵‍💫

The public shaming of Alex could have ulterior motives. This could give him an ‘in’ with the forces working against Cyrus and even against Vince!

What an exciting chapter! I also admit having a difficult time following and visualizing the Mage Dance. Somehow, as surprised as Kaplan was to have a public declaration from Cyrus choosing him as First Mate, I think it caught Cyrus off-guard, also! I don’t think it was what he planned to do, but was very happy to do after all.

At last! The bad stuff is happening faster than ever, but Bernie has someone who believes him! And Staff Sergeant says they won’t send him away and Bernie thinks that he may have found a home. He must be feeling so relieved and happy!

So, it’s not Bernie looking to create problems, it’s problems following him. Hmmm. Could it be the Ancient Spirit causing the problems, or some of the minor Celtic creatures like pookas or imps or something? It may be trying to keep an eye on him, despite the attempt to get him away to a safe place. It certainly looks like Bernie wants to settle in one place and be accepted. He is certainly making a big effort here, not making himself out to be the sullen, rebellious teen indicated from the paperwork. I am glad Walter is gone. That car ride must have been misery. If he spoke with Bernie at all, he must have given him the impression that the school was, in fact, a last resort juvenile detention before actual jail! It’s no wonder he got out of the van the way he did! It’s a good thing Gary is so good at figuring people out. No wonder Bernie is following him around in a daze. He’s never been treated this well!

Animals are remarkably aware of their humans’ situations, no matter what non-animal parents may think. Just last week, I was extremely stressed to the point of tears dealing with my elderly husband, running VERY late for a forgotten appointment, etc. I was in the car with our pup waiting for hubby. She always climbs onto my lap and sits facing out to check out the world. Not that day. She crawled into my lap, curled up under my chin cuddling and started giving me kisses! Now, she is a very loving girl (we are looking into certifying her as Emotional Support), but this was highly unusual for the location. She knew I was upset and was trying to help Mommy feel better!

That was the first thing I thought of when I read about the cat visiting. I was hoping that she was just prescient that Belle needed comfort, but, unfortunately, I think I have to agree with you. I have also heard about this happening. I guess it’s not surprising that they have a collection of cats at this hospital after the description of the facilities. Doctors are finding that patients are responding well to the attention from animals of various kinds. It’s one of the reasons for the explosion of emotional support animals. Based on the story synopsis, yes, Hunter and Dane get custody of Ruth and Ian, whatever happens with Belle. She’s going to be having surgery, recovery, radiation, chemo, etc. She’s not going to be in a very good place to be taking care of her kids for a while, even if she has a good outcome. It makes sense for the guys to have, at least, temporary custody during her recovery period. This is where the community clash could be coming from.

This was an incredibly interesting story. There are certainly stories about people who transition, or at least present themselves as the other sex, but very seldom do stories present how the families/friends of the person feel or deal with the situation. Brandon was presented with a situation that he never, in his wildest dreams, expected to have to deal with. It’s amazing that he was able react as calmly as he did. I think he was in shock! The fact that he was willing to look for information and help IMMEDIATELY says a lot about his character, his relationship with and his feelings for Dana, now Dane. He’s not 100% sure he can do this, and he is open and upfront about this with Dane, but he certainly has a good shot at it as a result of his actions thus far. Good luck, you two!

Oh! The joys of the Novice Driver! It’s always nice to see when a genius in other things is humbled in something. At least he has never had a big ego about his intellect to begin with! 🚗 beep-beep! Its good he confided in someone, especially someone who has the power to, hopefully, help protect him, if need be. If the Culver’s in Omaha the same chain as in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, you neglected to mention their big fame is the frozen custard! YUM! And every day, besides the chocolate and vanilla, they have a Flavor of the Day which changes every day! Things like chocolate chip cookie dough to raspberry swirl to fudge marble and so on. You actually have to check the website to find out what flavors are coming when! It’s a BIG deal in the Milwaukee area! 🍦

I was so excited to see a new story, @Grumpy Bear! It was definitely a promising start. Enjoy your trip and get home safely and get those next chapters out to your anxiously waiting fans!

After all the turmoil, peace has come to Silver Valley and it’s Duke. He has found his heart and they are getting things to where they should be and everyone will prosper. Jihan will make friends withe the Emperor and their sons will become great friends, also. These epilogues are wonderful to wake up to. They just give you a great feeling for the entire day. I hope they keep coming!
