I don't remember if it has been mentioned how big Adam's bed is .I wonder this because I'm curious if things will progress to the point of Ross sleeping in the bed with Adam (For a valid innocent reason of course) I never had chocolate on my pancakes and it doesn't sound so good to me I hope Adam doesn't think less of me.BTW I fell like making pancakes now

I'm glad they have another ally especially one descended from Wanda pretty they'll have Porvus outgunned especially if they can override Porvus control of the Gray Mages. I assume at the end of the chapter the thought was about sleeping arrangements unless I didn't interpret it right. Since Jamie and Garvin are gay (and possibly Geert) bunk with one of them no awarkwardness I would think.I would suggest Irik but I hear he's such a wolf

So in your scenario Porvus would be the Sheriff of Nottingham? There is no rule that says Robin can't make an appearance in this story right? It wouldn't shock me if @Geron Kees had that in mind.

I heard about how the Japanese couldn't break the Navaho code during WW11.The U.S. during the first Gulf war had problem finding people who could speak Farsi you would think with the experience with Navaho the military would have been better prepared in that regard. I'm surprised Mac never heard "Sleep tight " before interesting story behind that. I'm sure this has been covered before but when Devin and Mac going over the characteristics and abilities of a bear it made me wonder while they are in the form of a bear and another bear would be trying to get aggressive would the person who transitioned have the same strength of an actual bear?

Did all we readers lose our Magick or our skwish? There hasn't been one bad pun among us this chapter.(I won't be surprised if @Ivor Slipper thinks of one now) I actually came up with one using Kundun's name but running it by my brain it was such a reach and so awful I decided against it (Yeah I know that never stopped me before)

Since it was mentioned so prominently in this chapter I think Jamie will figure out a way for the grey mages not to be controlled by Porvus Like a computer virus perhaps...worked in the movie Independence Day This exchange had me thinking "And yet, outside the Forest of Night, with the possible exception of Methuwan, still unseen, these cities are conspicuous by their absence." Could those missiles or whatever it was that was shot every night be responsible for those cities disappearing ?

Oh wow again I came so close to leaving a tear reaction.I remember being overwhelmed babysitting kids that age let alone raising them 24/7. Can you imagine Kyan trying to raise them without Dayna's family support the fact there are single parents who try makes me really emphasize you did a great job of bringing that out .There's a special place in Heaven for Kyan's in-laws. Couldn't help notice a bar next to the gym? I remember there was this Italian place where I lived with deep dish pizza and lasagna to die for it was one of three businesses on this small lot .The other businesses? A gym and a Jenny Craig weight loss center.I always thought the Italian restaurant defeated the purpose of the other two......or perhaps it was a strategy?- 110 comments

So much to digest in this chapter Jamie turned to Garvin a moment. "He should have been back by now, shouldn't he?" That makes me worry that Thorvil may have mer with some unfortunate fate...at the hands of Porvus? "I have no wish to harm others, myself, but have learned that saving life sometimes requires the taking of life." That same argument was made about the dropping of the atom bomb Kundun was saying there are from another place all this time I (And I suspect most of us) were thinking this was Earth...maybe it isn't Only 7,066 words? You weren't feeling well when you wrote this chapter @Geron Kees?

They spoke of how important the lens is I'm assuming Porvus and Urvan is aware of something like that is the lens capable of defending itself or could Porvus break it and if he does what then? They had the need to be silent don't they know the concept of lip reading or sign language?

It has been suggested that Porvus knows he's not going to stop them that he just wants to see what powers they had before they meet at the Tower but I also think he didn't think Skoda was going to die that certainly got his attention. This battle with Skoda was a lot like a football team blowing a chance at winning at the last second.Skoda had victory in his grasp but then....he choked ...Am I as bad as @Ivor Slipper now
