Ethan seemed to be less naive about things then Josh. I saw what Brett gestures of friendship as insincere all along and Josh should have also but I guess Josh being so far away at his "Grandfather's" house contributed to him being clueless to things.No big surprise Grandpa liked Brett Are teachers and school officials oblivious to stuff they hear? You would think one of them might have heard bits and pieces about what Brett did to Josh.I guess it would be too much to ask one of them to enquire to Josh what happen. Look the other way nothing to see here. Well thankfully Ethan is who he is and it ended well for Josh. But for so many others in Josh place it doesn't happen

Bruce is sounding like a bigger moron by the second. I wonder if Reggie's parent know he witnessed the attack and if they do was that why the loan was forgiven?

I would have bet against a three-way happening but I also didn't rule it out in the back of my mind. Maybe I shouldn't be but I'm glad that happened with those three.I haven't forgotten how Craig has acted but after hearing more of his story @Ronyxhas almost made him a sympathetic character not quite but almost. This story just might have the record for number of sets of horrible parents .Going into this chapter we knew how nigthmareish Blake's parent and we had a hint Roni's mom left something to be desired and many readers commented on Seth's mom well add two more sets of parents. First there is Craig's dad I speculated that he might be overbearing boy was that a gross understatement. He is a flat out MORON!!!!!!!!!. He wouldn't let Craig be a dancer because he wasn't going to have a "sissy " for a son? He has no idea how much of a great athlete you have to be in order to be a good ballet dancer. Hey Mr. Gates(Craig dad) you heard of the ballet dancer Baryshnikov? I bet that "sissy" could wipe the floor with you. Dishonorable mention goes to Amber's parents blaming Blake for Amber getting in trouble. Blake would not even have been to the dance if Amber hadn't made him come because she got stood up. And Amber was also the reason why Blake and the others were at the after party HELLO!!!! I hope it is not a case of Amber throwing Blake under the bus. But despite that low bar Seth's mom maybe the worst. She's disappointed that Seth is gay? Something @drsawzall said in a earlier chapter comment might be true that Seth's dad may be out of the picture because he did an gay act(I think that's what he said he can clarify if I got it wrong) Also she is disappointed because Seth stole Craig away from Stacy? Now why would she think that?...Oh of course because Stacy said he did so it has to be true🙄. Thank goodness Aunt Marie and Uncle Steve are around. First impressions or the psychologist are good. It may turn out Stacy is in the most need of her help

Very interesting and informative chapter. There is something that could have been explained and I missed it. When the Haatali explained he didn't want the others to know about Issac because he then might be mistaken for an evil skin walker since Issac didn't have a hideous appearance wouldn't that be enough proof that Issac isn't evil?

Common sense tells me this incident with the knife is going to be trouble it would not be part of the story if it turns out to be nothing. I don't recall if it was mentioned what year this story is set with the band singing older songs . I bring this up because depending on what year this is there might be some kind of camera surveillance from an ATM or something and that could cause problems

Speaking of unusual happenings here in San Diego yesterday had its first hurricane since 1939. As soon as Josh said "It's a long story " I thought to myself chapters almost over so we won't know anything until chapter two.But you did set the stage well .Things must have been really tense for Josh if he just out of the blue stopped talking to Ethan. So Grandpa has no phone? Pretty sure there is no TV or internet either and this talk of the woodshed? Sounds old school.Is this set in the past? Nothing has been revealed yet but I'm guessing being gay is part of the issue and this guy he mentioned Mike has something to do with things

I sure hope Bruce Jr. either has misinterpreted things or he has another reason to say to Matt what he said. It's pretty harsh if the parents really blame him 11 years old at the time for his brother death

Bryan should talk to Diego or even Steve about it but two people who should know nothing about it is Caleb and Luis.Caleb only because height tell Luis and Luis shouldn't know because of his temper he might track down and beat the crap out of Calvin .Calvin could then have some kind of leverage such as if he can talk to Brayan he won't press charges against Luis etc.
