I could see where having Kage around literally 24/7 can at times be exasperating but it is also the the most likely most safe route Elijah can take.I believe he also chose this route because the place is his home and Tyler really does mean that much to him. I still hope we see 'The overgrown pups" as Kage calls them in the story. When Kage said "you can bet your ass Satan himself created those creatures,” I can relate right now I'm feeding a stray and I think it really believes that every time it continually meows I come with food how annoying. Wow Jay Petermeyer gets mentioned in a second chapter? Ok you can tell us you lost a bet with @Mrsgnomie right?

I have to say for all us annoying guessers like myself this wasn't anywhere on my radar very well done.Any thoughts from readers on why no police? So Bear's family will take care of this?Sounds almost Mob like maybe Luke is dodging a bullet not being involved with Bear's family (I know dumb thing to say after a knife attack) I'm going to assume it over between Luke and Bear but after this chapter with this author I don't rule out anything. Can't wait to read more. -
It's too bad we could not have an elf secretly run for president disguised as a human a lot of our problems could be solved.Come to think of it I'm sure most of the readers remember this guy Ross Perot sort of looked like an Elf hmm did we miss our chance when he ran for president 🤔

Excellent chapter. I can't wait to hear Charlie's idea I had to scoff when Charlie said this "I don't know what the rest of us can do just yet while we wait." Lets see Ilessa said there are a number of rooms that they can use ,Rooms that can accommodate two.I can think of something you all can do can't you🤔

First the good stuff .I love Sharon. Now the other stuff.Have to say the way the chapter ended it didn't sound good .My guess? Which will probably miss by a mile.Bear might have been thinking of leaving the family but then his Dad died he probably thinks this would be there worst time for him to leave.I can see him asking Luke to go with them when the fair leaves town BUT Luke had this thought "But I am also conscious that I would have to give up other parts of my life, such as Taz and Lee, my family? No way. I won't be like other people and abandon them like disposable wipes" So IF I'm right would there be a solution to that?.....Am I close?...I guess you can't answer that😄 -

It took my dense brain a moment until "DING" oh I get it Family Feud except at the moment I refuse to think of Elaine as family However I would love to see Steve Harvey observe Luke and Elaine and then after one of his classic expressions make one of his comments -
I totally agree with that. I now ALWAYS check now there's a reason that almost every comment I post has "edited by weinerdog " on it.Once before sending a text I looked at it before pressing send and autocorrect changed my message in a way that could have gotten me arrested for stalking.

It might have been explained earlier in the story and I don't remember but why doesn't the Boojums have presence in Charlie's (our?)world? Figures the Boojum picked Chicago you know Al Capone and all that. You mentioned last chapter you didn't want to discuss a certain topic but the way Ilessa described the humans helping the Boojums that sound very similar to some people in our world. You made the planning sound fun so to paraphrase Robin let the real fun begin

There's a line in the chapter "It was also interesting, and informative to hear the myth of the Sentinels and their apparent resurgence in this generation. He wouldn’t mind seeing those wolves. It must be an amazing sight" I think that's foreshadowing Kage meeting these guys

I was going to say that Kage is a good person he just doesn't know it yet but Elijah beat me to it. The one possible worry is perhaps a neighbor witnessed Kage when he took human form and told the police that also the two police cars at each end of the street probably seen Kage leave with Elijah in the morning just a thought it could get complicated. I saw the notification for the chapter as soon as it popped up but @Danilo Syrtisand @chris191070 beat me by quite a bit I bet they had a wager on who would post first.Maybe you should post a chapter 8 P.M. our time while these guys are asleep. Nah scratch that knowing them they'll stay up all night

Like the good Dr. in the above comment I'm going to wait to see what transpires because I really don't know what to think.I will say Elaine doesn't have the best way with words "welcoming"? Boy was that the wrong word to use. Although Luke was spot on about Josh's orientation I would say it's a stretch to say he's the stalker unless there is another piece of info we don't know yet . Josh did refuse to open his phone though🤔 man all that drama got us to stop taking about Bear -
As usual you are able to express all the thoughts and emotions somebody in Ethan's situation is going though perfectly.Speaking of perfect that YouTube vid about My Only Escape was perfect.If a person who has no idea what the story is about saw that video they will have a good idea after watching it and will want the e-book.

Great stuff.As I was reading this I though about would Geron ever write a fatality among the group? How would that change things in Charlies world and how would the readers react?Then shortly after I thought about that Ricky gets kidnapped in the story and my reaction was that's pretty close to what I was thinking. So they had Soldier Field 200 years before we did?Does that mean they had the NFL also?I apologize for this annoying question I have a tendency to ask but it was mentioned that the defenders are the closet thing they have to a military so how did THEY come up with the name Soldier Field. I know Robin's name is Robin Hood but when Charlie says "My dear Hood" it sounds like a contradiction of terms

Not as much of a cliffy as the the last chapter but still a lot of anticipation to come.My only question ? Is this the time to tell his mother?My guess would be it isn't but if somebody here has a different take I'd be interested to hear it. The fact that Bear called Luke during that tragic moment says a lot. Luke apparently believes upon some reflection that the kisses he got from Taz was more than just being drunk.Luke must have sensed some real feelings from Taz. That's going to be an interesting conversation also.

Good point but them being in our reality for 78 years some live here I'm sure and even started families here so I would think they would have a knowledge of Robin since it is in their interest to be aware of our culture

OK now this is resembling a typical Charlie Boone adventure and the bad guys are the Boojums.Buckle up for a tough ride. Some other thoughts When Ilessa said "People are not terribly bright" I bet she had Jan 6 on her mind.Sounds like the same kind of dynamic happened in their world. The Espero has been here for 78 years and their early history was similar to ours so I have to believe they know the story of Robin Hood do they sense that he there among them? BTW speaking of Robin Hood all the new revised editions of the books about Robin hasn't mentioned he has skwish (Tapping fingers) I'm waiting
