Yeah I still have to wait about Carl IMO that was too generous of an offer he gave them.

The way the chapter ended I wonder if Mom would bring up the gay possibility with Jeff and speaking of... Larry says “I guess I was an asshole,” Larry responded, “and I’m sorry.” but only a few minutes before it was “Listen, guys,” he began, “I can’t say I understand why you chose a queer over me…” and he would not look at Jeff at all geez “So you’re saying you’d smoke it if you weren’t allergic?” Gees, she wasn’t gonna let it go. Mom missed her calling as a prosecuting attorney We ate a deep dish pizza at a pizzeria called Pizzeria Uno. It was hands down the best pizza I ever had. As soon as the chapter mentioned Chicago deep dish pizza is what I thought of. As of a year ago you could still get Pizzeria Uno frozen I'm not sure now. It is my favorite even to this day. You said this was auto- biographical so if there was a Paul I hope you managed to cross paths again

Out of Doel/Javin I'll go with Javin like when they first wake up in the morning instead of saying "Let's have a cup of Java' it will be cup of Javin👍...unless one of you has a good pineapple reference for Doel

“Your dad does,” I answered and he smirked looking away. “Of course he does,” he said, and I didn’t really know what he meant by that, That could mean so many things here is one guess to what Colt might be thinking."He cares about Joel and his situation but doesn't give a f*** that me taking over the ranch would make me unhappy" In the last chapter Trace said to Joel “You will not know how much love that woman already has for you until you let her in, I can promise you that too.” And in this chapter Colt said “Why not Mom, she would be the easier one?” Those two comments should be more than enough to convince Joel he should tell her besides Colt and Davin pretty much figured it out does Joel really think she wouldn't Let Celia go with you Joel I want to see her deck your Mom (I'm still lobbying for it😄 Kidding)

Yeah I'm thinking of a few things perhaps some incident like one of those "sharks" as Brad said tries something with Peter. Also especially after this chapter as Marty s starting to think of Peter's family as his family I can picture his mother appearing out of the blue and we will see the contrast

And then there was the side effect I hadn’t told anyone about. Shadows. Always just at the edge of my vision, familiar in a way I couldn’t explain. When I turned to look directly, nothing was there. I caught them in the corners of the kitchen or the living room when the lights went out at night I suspect that isn't so unusual there have been times I could have sworn I saw something in the corner of my eye and nothing was there. Of course it isn't to the degree Simon has. Do I tell her about the shadows? The whispers? Of course not. My first reaction was I hope that wasn't a mistake and we all know what happened. Was Simon worried he was going to be committed? Incredible chapter

Wow heavy on the technical talk which always gives me a headache but enjoyable just the same. It was a shame that Larry was no longer with us but he’d made his choice. Why would Jeff say that was a shame? Who needs a jackass like that around?

For a guy studying to become a lawyer, he surely failed when he needed to use speech to remedy a situation he himself had created Lyn seems to have forgotten the first rule of being a lawyer (Though he isn't one yet in this chapter) Anyone who is his own Lawyer has a fool for a client. Maybe the saying should be adjusted here "Any Lawyer using his lawyering skills to get out of a situation is just another BSer" Wait Lawyers are BSers 🤔.......OK it needs some work

I haven't finished reading the chapter yet and the point I'm about to make most likely has been talked about later in the chapter . “I just don’t want to be that guy who gets others to do the things he should be doing.” HUH?🤔 Like uh......BRAD!!!!! How can you have a crush on a guy you don't want to be like?

@Summerabbacat Since you like to refer to old songs in your comments and after what happened with Nate and Skye how this one from the 70's from a band called Jigsaw and the name of the song is Sky High. (I'll leave it up to you if you want to put the song here)

If I recall correctly someone mentioned last chapter if Nate could possibly get out of his commitment with the Australian army if he decided he wanted to stay. In the 70's in the U.S. Army you just had to be gay or bi I assume the policy was the same down under then. with the protesting hinges of the door once again giving away his entrance. Jeez WD40 or something like that'll stop it. Get some already. ‘Are you decent?’ a now familiar, sweet voice called out. Why did she have to ask that?🤔.Actually it reminds me a gag I once did. There was a knock on my bedroom door asking me I was decent when she walked in she said "YOU"RE NAKED" and I said "You didn't't ask if I was naked you asked if I was decent. Most people will tell you I am"

I suspect something has to happen to get Carter out of their orbit before they can make any kind of progress

The roles are reversed in this chapter .In previous chapters Marty was making sure Peter did what he had to do. But then there is this “You rest here for a few minutes, and I’ll get dinner ready.” “But I told you I’d do that!” Marty protested, his back arching as he was about to get up. Peter sprung up quicker, however. He stood directly in front of him and placed both his hands firmly on Marty’s shoulders, playfully but firmly pushing him back down. “You got most of the stuff done already, so it’s not a lot. And I hardly did anything all day, especially compared to what you went through.” “But I said…” “Stay!” Peter ordered. Now I'm looking forward to the trip home. Good luck Angela🤞

“Promise you won’t think of anyone else while you suck my cock,” Alexander ordered again. “I promise.” Lyn presented his pinky with a big smirk on his face. I'm surprised Alexander didn't say "I can read minds" And mean it Brad had assured them that this part of the island was never visited by tourists, so it was okay for them to just swim in the nude. Like in their younger years, I disagree NOT like in their younger years there's a difference a BIG difference....This time Luke was there.........Well to me it's a big difference😛

No communication between Mark and Johnathan whatsoever. You can't solve anything like that

Noticed Larry wasn't mentioned That's good. They’ve had some name acts perform there in the past.” “So who’s gonna be there tonight?” Paul asked. “Never heard of them, but they’re supposed to be good,” I replied. “Folk music, I think. I was hoping you would come up with a name of a band that hadn't made it big yet. This was 1972 so The Eagles were just starting to get known. You could have used Jim Croce even if he never played there. What they said about cars was so true .My brother worked for Toyota in the 80's and there were a lot of stories about how far behind American cars were then

I do get what you're saying but remember while it's been 10+ chapters for us hence 10+ weeks it has only been one week for Joel.Hmm🤔 14 chapters to cover one week? If this story goes to the Baseball season how many chapters will it take?
