Jesus...it seems you are hell bent on having us @mastershakeme Uber frustrated....you and Owen . In a way I personally empathise with Owen ..it's not easy shaking of shackles that have held you for long..He is just 18..and an only child at that.....the burden of responsibility and expectation is literally a millstone around his neck . Thank you!

I like how each chapter lately ups the tension...Each chapter dials up the degree of danger for the protagonists...in the previous chapter it was Josel and Bartos ...in this one we get a foreboding ...for all mankind in this universe .You really are on a roll lately 😜

If you have read any mystery titles,it's always those 'nobody' characters that end up being quite significant in the plot...it's because nobody pays them attention..I like to believe Abelard fulfills that..

This chapter validates the 'good things happen to those who wait'...it was not just a book for me...these characters I lived with..hihi.. The chapter leaves me bereft of words....thank you!

I don't even know where to begin with Margot in this chapter..eh. Like in this chapter she is sort of an 'hybrid' of some the manipulative female teenage characters I watched growing up...Blair Waldorf(Gossip girl) ,Alison DiLaurentis(Pretty Little Liars) ..I almost added Regina George in the mix.. That being said ..I personally feel like except Ryder, the two other people who seem to really see Owen as person are Beth and Eric, even though Eric is briefly there..The rest of the people seem to want Owen to live by the playbook they have set for him.

You have made a really good assessment ...I couldn't have made a better one.. I do give Owen some bit of lee way because he is 18 ..so is literally 'still' a child. At 18, a person either usually has a default setting which has daring/impulsive or timid..we what setting Owen has... Margot masks manipulation and self-centered ness as logic

I got the impression from that appearance of Jules that she is not on board with the performance program.... I personally feel that Owen is selfish too..

Bastien reminds of Sharon stone' character from Basic Instinct....to me he is the home fatale of this tale.. since @Laura S. Fox decided that for this tale,she is going to be serving red herrings like they are running out of stock, I feel like each chapter 'works' to out weird the previous one..eh That being said...Lawrence does need providence on his side because goldy is certainly not letting him go

Right now am going to take a cold cola to self-congratulate for having known it was Sofia all along . That bomb shell is going to be epic ..I hope Arthur has a strong heart. Because he just might get a shock🤣 dare we get a comatose Arthur?....Am not even going to talk about Aiden . For all his antics so far, underneath he was just a lost boy who was more a tool for his mother .That is going to be disastrous for him . -

Just when I think I cannot be surprised by you anymore, you manage to do it effortlessly. This story ,yet another gem in your store, is just so profound..So beautiful. Only you can make the devil relatable and make one reconsider their stance on Religious dualism🫡. That being said for me this was something else..It's unlike the stories you have served us before . It made re-examine what I think about cause and effect.. I once remarked that you don't just entertain me, you also educate in some ways.. May you never tire of doing both . I know that am definitely going to come back to this story ...Thank you ! -
I have finally caught up!... that being said this chapter is a case study of one of my favourite statements...you know the one one about the road to hell being paved with good intentions and all... This chapter is just so bleak...I literally felt pity for a character because said character hits so close to home... @mastershakeme..you making Ryder 'scarce' in this chapter makes it even more profound..It made me wish to know what he is 'thinking' wherever he is at this point in the chapter.
