At this rate , I might as well get a notebook to list all the characters like you warned us to..hehe...So far the 3 introduced are puzzling to say the least..like @Cane23 hinted in the previous commentary, wearing masks seem to be the default setting at Veridien. Thank you!

Personally am thinking Veridien itself....It seems to bring out the primal in the folks there..Not to mention how on earth do you grow a dangerous plant whose deadly effect on use is well known...

I so hate Zereth!..That level of emotional abuse on someone leaves permanent scars...I guess in this universe Fae parents ,with the exception of the half fae(Rory and Ash) really fail the good parent test I mean look at them Ash's mother ,Zereth..to them their children are assets to be used, not people to be treasured,seen and loved . Poor Severin

Oh Elyssa...careful you are losing it ..😂 That being said....Elyssa comes out of this chapter looking worse than before . She has always been the scheming one but even she falls so low in this chapter. I don't even want to imagine the angst that is coming as a result of the reunion between Ade and Zdain. Thank you!

I cannot help but feel sorry for Josel. It is said that one does not choose their family but Josel really had the worst luck when it came to his mother...eh . That being said . I like that Bartos makes an appearance . It had been a While since he appeared . That being said I am hoping Josel gets out of that mansion as soon as possible .. Thank you!

I personally do not think he is evil .Misguided sure ..As someone who yearned to get a father's approval that has never come ,I can somewhat relate to Severin. Zereth is totally without any qualms, we saw how he is not beyond using his children to achieve his goals .We saw what he did with Lanelle. And he is doing it now with Severin ...His affection is currency he doles out in exchange for doing something that grants him or brings him closer to what he wants . That being said, @mastershakeme sets the foundation for the cracks to appear in Severin 's mind in this chapter.....his interaction with Caelo and that exchange with Zereth I believe sets the path for Severin to start forging his own path .
