This chapter was crazy stuff!..Sometimes ,when am quiet after reading a chapter, I wonder what the real life Orange man-child would do if he got a chance of reading this story..😀...The way you have aptly captured him in writing in this series is just so on point...The bluster , the ineptitude ...everything so well captured. It's the small matters that always end up being important... That French Lieutenant could just have placed the Carters in peril... And that young American corporal could just have upended their mission. That being said...I like to believe being a soldier has to rank up there with the most 'problematic' professions....Where you have to follow orders/make decisions that are against one's morals. This chapter for me is when Lyn finally comes out into the light.. When he finally understands that love requires one to be bold enough to let go and be vulnerable.. It's been a wonderful journey for me to see him come from an emotionally 'closed off' young man to the man we meet in this chapter. Very well written @Laura S. Fox.... Thank you!

You have aptly captured it ..I think I saw a speech by the Leader of Greens in the UK..Zach Polanski..he mentioned something similar...though in simple brutal terms ....the biggest obstacle to social progress in the world is the billionaires and their enablers, the politicians.

This chapter for me just enriched the previous Present day one....it's clearly illustrates the depth of affection that Alexander had for Lyn.. I feel like this chapter demonstrates that despite everything going on with these men in the past, in that particular moment when the photo was taken ,their friendship was profound...They were 'hiding' from each other sure, but when it mattered(in the small moments) they showed up for each other.
