Patience, grasshopper, and all will be revealed in due time. Maybe not the time you want, but in due time.

If they have, they haven't mentioned it thus far.

    Chapter 16 S1

You will get your answer next week at the same time, same bat channel.
  4. I agree with and approve of your logic.

    Chapter 16 S1

I'll agree that this is a more violent and potentially more dangerous adversary, but come on, Terry, but would I do that to you?
  6. Hmmm, I can think of another type of ejecta, other than due to volcanic activity. For some reason, when I saw this I immediately thought of perfecta, which is a term I would use to describe the type of ejecta I mentioned above. 😈 😉

    Chapter 16 S1

Ok, maybe I was being a little sadistic in leaving this in a cliffhanger, but including Devin's explanation and all of the follow-up information about what took place would have made the chapter much too long. Besides, the anticipation of eventually finding out what happened will give you something to look forward to. 😉

    Chapter 16 S1

Very true, but you may have noticed that Devin is an intelligent, and sometimes devious person. He may have figure out the scenario in advance. You'll have to wait and see.

Now, don't go jumping to conclusions, weinerdog. Confucius says 'Man who jump to conclusions may some day find himself falling from a cliff.'

Patience is a virtue, Al, or at least that's what I've been told. Unfortunately, I seldom follow what I preach. LOL
  12. Chapter 16 – The Stakeout As soon as we woke up on Saturday, we headed over to the dining hall for breakfast. Before we returned to our room, we knocked on Barry’s door to see if he’d heard anything more since we last spoke. When he opened the door, he was wearing an old pair of sweats, his hair was messed up, and he seemed to only be half awake. “Damn, I hope we didn’t wake you. I’m sorry if we did,” I apologized. “It’s Saturday and I was planning on sleeping in a little l

  14. Hey, the could have called it pee-green. You'd be familiar with peagreen if you ever ate pea soup. And olive green, or more precisely olive drab, was the color of the fatigues used by the army from 1952 until 1989.
  15. Spiderman has many new glowing friends.
  16. I love tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplant, but I never knew they were all from the nightshade family. A perfect meal for me would be eggplants parmesan, baked potato, and a green salad with tomatoes, croutons, feta cheese, and an oil and vinegar dressing.
  17. There's nothing to worry about. He's just the same loveable, crazy guy he's always been.
  18. Baldric sounds like the name of a barbarian that fought the Romans.
  19. I hate to be picky, @myr, but I think you meant warble fly, not warblw. BTW, the app that handles the 'at' function wouldn't load, that's why your name isn't in blue and it didn't notify you that I mentioned your name. Back on topic, when I was in college there was a female gadfly that would always interject her way into conversations, chats, or activities, but since she was the Dean's niece no one in our major had the courage to tell her off.
  20. The idea of a lapboard originated in the first half of the 19th century and was primarily used by those that couldn't afford a desk on which to write letters. They could also be used when eating as well, but they've slowly drifted out of popularity.

I'll have to see what I can do about that. Thanks for the push, Johnny.

    Chapter 15 S1

Thanks, Al. I'd decided it was time to give a new take on the shifter type stories and this was a good way to do it. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
  23. The word whim-wham (also spelled whimwham) is an Old English word (circa 1640s to 1690s) and defined as a fanciful object or a trivial and frivolous thing. It can also mean caprice, fancy, or a sudden turn or inclination of the mind, as well as nervousness or jitters.

    Chapter 12 S1

This is the setup. The dorms are on one side of the campus and the house is on the opposite side. That's why they don't make use of the house for studying, but on occasion they may go to the house to get the SUV to run an errand. However, starting in the next academic year they'll be living at the house, so the situation will change.

    Chapter 15 S1

I see you've picked up on another reference that Mac plans to become a skinwalker, and if he does that may take care of the problems everyone's been referring to. I think one of Devin's big concerns is that Mac might get hurt, since he can't transition and increase his size and/or strength as Devin does. Once he is a skinwalker too, that will no longer be an issue.
