    Spiders

Either way it's still creepy. Did the spider lay its eggs in the Cicada and the young ate their way through it, or was it just a convenient hiding place?

    Chapter 11 S1

Yes, delving into the mind of drp is nearly as bad as doing it with Stephen King.

I believe you'll be pleased with what you find out.
  9. Chapter 11 – CSU Here We Come By the time Devin finished telling me about how his family managed to amass so much wealth, we were both hungry, but we were nearly to Jamesville so we decided to wait and eat with my parents. When we arrived at the house, we went inside and said hello to my mom and dad. “I hope you’re both hungry,” my mom said. “I’ve held up supper for you.” “We’re starved and I’m glad you waited. So, do you want us to head directly into the dining room?”

    Chapter 10 S1

Thank you, because it wasn't exactly easy to piece all of that together so it would sound somewhat realistic. Everyone seems to have loved the idea of the bear and the backpack carrying out the gold, and I'm glad that worked out as well.
  17. Does that mean my stories are examples of prolix writing?

    Chapter 10 S1

Yes, unlike other shows, they were based on the history that was known up to that time. They wouldn't have known about the young princes' remains being found at the Tower of London, thus making Richard III king, nor would they have known about Richard III remains being found under a parking lot, or car park as the British call it, in Leicester, as well as many other things.

    Chapter 10 S1

What can I say? History fascinates me and has ever since I watched the old TV show "You Are There" aired back in the 1950s. I was still in elementary school, but Walter Cronkite had me hooked. I know not everyone is as fascinated by history or historical places like I am, so I'm glad you're able to appreciate it. 💓

    Chapter 10 S1

I'm glad you approved of my use of those mysteries to supply the McCaskill family with plenty of money. Yes, Mac lost a brother and sister. His brother was killed during the war in Afghanistan, and his sister was killed by a drunk driver. I was thinking of putting in that the man was a known drunk with no money and no family, and he was driving without insurance in one of those huge cars from the 70s that most people referred to as tanks. He did not have any insurance coverage or any money to sue for, but I thought that was more information than necessary for a secondary character. And although Isaac spend time at the reservation in New Mexico, he wasn't in Roswell post WW II.

    Chapter 10 S1

I did a tremendous amount of research to make sure the facts were accurate. Although I allowed Isaac to discover the treasure, which in reality may still be out there, the story was based on historical facts. The same is true about Congress passing the law about owning/possessing gold in the 1930s, which they later rescinded in the 1970s, and the stocks I chose for them to invest in were actual stocks that did well during the time periods mentioned. I hope that answers your question, Tony.

    Chapter 10 S1

Hopefully the backpack blended in with the bear's body and wasn't noticeable to others, but I know what you mean. 😎

    Chapter 10 S1

Yes, and that may be exactly what Isaac did. Since he can change his form, it's possible he's merely taking the form of a person in the inner circle each time and gaining insider information that others don't possess. I believe Devin has mentioned that his grandfather has his way of finding out things, that might be the way.

    Chapter 10 S1

I'm glad you enjoyed the backpack idea, because it took me quite a while to figure out how Isaac was going to transport all of that gold out of there without raising suspicion or getting killed by those wanting to take it away from him. As for your comment about the sixth sense, that's an interesting idea, but you'll have to keep reading to find out if you're correct or not. 😈 They did do very well and avoided the pit falls, but something I learned in college. Even those who seemed to have lost everything on paper during the crash made it back eventually, if they didn't panic and overreact. Since Isaac didn't have the same time limitation as other people of that time, maybe he just rode the problem out - or maybe he had some insider information into the various situations, and not a crystal ball or a sixth-sense. And when you have gold to fall back on, you're in a little better shape than most others. Look at the other important names at that time and see how much they lost or didn't lose in the crash.
