    Let's Go Exploring

I like prompt 110, because it can be a heterosexual or gay couple. I may have to try that sometime.
  2. Oh, I thought this was about Ralph Nader.
  3. @Myr Great choice of using the word phalanx in a sentence, along with the gif.
  4. The word of the day has been brought to you by Myr-ee Poppins.
  5. Theriac is derived from Greek words having to do with beasts, but what the hell does that have to do with a cure-all or panacea?
  6. a mixture of many drugs and honey formerly held to be an antidote to poison Of course you didn't die from the poison, you died from a drug overdoes instead.
  7. Why did you have to make me think of a scrumptious chocolate cake so early in the day?
  8. I think I would probably go with perhaps, rather than mayhap.
  9. Mayhap someone steps up to assist with cleaning up the Story Archive. @Myr, since we'd probably need some special clearance to do that, my guess would be: "Don't hold your breath."
  10. Was he also related to the Boston Fitzgeralds, primarily Homey Fitz whose grandchildren formed Joe Kennedy's clan?
  11. This airline situation is effecting a lot of people, so maybe you should consider an alternative. Take a train there instead. 🥶🤡😈
  12. Humanity was generally more peaceful of people that accepted henotheism as their belief system instead of trying to force other people to fit their belief system. What can I say, because I'm not allowed to discuss politics outside of The Pit.
  13. That's very interesting. I just thought of canoes with I saw the word canoodle, so when I saw the definition it all just fit together.
  14. Lord knows where this term originated, unless a couple was fondling each other in a canoe, so they were canoodling.
  15. That never dawned on me as I was writing about that vacation. It's too bad you weren't around to suggest it for me.
  16. I guess I made a major metonymy earlier. I posted an RIP Graham Nash and it should have been RIP David Crosby. Duh.
  17. Some of you younger members may not be familiar with the name David Crosby, but he's one of my favorite musicians. He started his career as a member of the group the Byrds and later helped to form a new group, Crosby, Stills & Nash. He was 81 when he passed, so he lived a full life, and like most Rock stars of that era had problems with drug and alcohol abuse. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Crosby, Stills & Nash and as a member of the Byrds. May he continue making music in the next world as well. Rest in peace, David Crosby.
  18. My error, it was David Crosby, not Graham Nash. Duh...

  19. You're welcome, and I'm glad I helped to get your day off to a good start.
  20. Unless the guy in the gif is talking about the size of the cockroach in the motel room instead of a body part, I would certainly hope he was de minimis in his description.
  21. I also wish to express my condolences to Mawgrim's husband, family, and friends. He will be sadly missed on this site. @drpaladin If you, or someone else, are in contact with Mawgrim's husband, and Mawgrim finished writing the remaining chapters, then possibly his husband can forward those chapters to you, and you can then ask an administrator to post them. I think it would be worth trying to find out, so Mawgrim's last wish can be fulfilled.
  22. And here at GA we're under the tutelage of Myr and Cia whenever problems arise on the site. And Valkyrie supplies the tutelage when it has anything to do with Anthologies.
  23. Many authors live vicariously through their stories.
  24. An arsonist enjoys watching things deflagrate.
  25. Wildone said: Second thing, I’ll probably be taking off the next two wrap ups as I do believe I’ll be on a South Pacific Island. It has been actually 14 years since I took a vacation outside of a 3 hour drive from home. Just need to ensure I have reef friendly sun screen 😉 @wildone, just don't go on a 3-hour tour with Gilligan and the Skipper while you're there.
