I haven't forgotten about what Mac promised his mother, and it's still possible. Remember, even as skinwalkers the boys can each father a son using a surrogate, and they may do it close to the same time so the boys can grow up together. That hasn't been decided yet. As you suggest, Mac could also visit a sperm bank and make a deposit for future use, although withdrawing the deposit would have to be made and utilized within the next 10 or 20 years, since I don't believe the sperm bank would hold his deposit longer than that, say for 100 or 200 years. However, he can still keep his promise to his mom without doing that.

What an unusual romance. Two boys meet and bond over a common ability and fall in love. I'll admit that I got vibes of The Sixth Sense almost from the beginning, starting with when Chris sees the drowned woman reaching out to him. There were also plenty of clues along the way to support my suspicion, but then there were numerous other clues that seemed to run opposite of what I was expecting, which left some doubt in my mind. It didn't matter, though, because it was a well-written and captivating tale, and even though it touched upon some darker issues at times, it was still a heart-warming story. Tom wasn't the only one moved to tears, and even though I don't know who the author is at this point, I highly recommend this story to others.

And don't forget the most important glyphs of them all - the Egyptian hieroglyphs. Mayans used their own set of glyphs to communicate. Both the Egyptians and Mayans had some glyphs that represented an entire word (usually an animal or object), while other glyphs merely represented sounds that were then combined to make words.

I'm confused. The boys live and go to college in Colorado, the reservation they'll be going to is in New Mexico, and the fake trip would be to Minnesota. Where does Iowa come in?

Since Barry doesn't live close to Jamesville, the chances of Mac's parents running into him are slim. Besides, since they only met him once, they probably wouldn't recognize him even if they did run into him at some point. Thanks for the holiday greeting.

A troubling, yet touching look at how Alzheimer's effects everyone connected to the one stricken with this disease, combined with a gay love story that could have been but never was. We follow the snippets of memories as we piece together this sad tale that also contains moments of happiness and laughter. I tip my hat to the author for making us feel the despair everyone goes through as they deal with the situation.

I doubt know if you read weinerdog's comment at the top of the comment section, but he said the same thing about using Barry might bite them in the future. As I said to him, other than remembering who Barry is, Mac's parents would have no way of contacting him or his grandfather, and once the trip to New Mexico is over, and there are no incidents or injuries, than I'm sure Mac's parents will forget all about it. I'm glad you are enjoying this story and providing me with feedback.

Is there a link to the first story or am I missing something? Using my calculations, if there are 11 stories starting today and ending on July 14, then we should be reading a story today in order to read all 11 stories by the 14th.

No, the boys didn't talk this over with Barry, since his parents will have no way to contact him or his grandfather once the boys leave. Unless something happens to Mac on the trip to or from the reservation or while they are there, his parents will be none the wiser. Yes, even though bowling isn't nearly as popular as it once was, there are still some bowling alleys around. I'm glad your friend is there to explain things to you. 😅

Yes, Terry, it's going to happen soon and Mac only used what deception was necessary to get his parents to agree. As you pointed out, there will also be no way his parents can track him down, so if everything goes well, he'll return home as the newest good skinwalker.

Yes, I agree with you, because I've taken a trip through that area as well, but you must remember that this is only a cover story to explain while they won't be home during the summer. It's not something they're actually going to do or any place they'll actually visit.

Anthon, I'm glad you're interested in this story and looking forward to the possibilities that still lie ahead. Devin's ability offers him many advantages that the rest of us don't have and Mac seems to be able to cope with Devin's numerous abilities. There is much yet to come and still be revealed, so I hope you continue to enjoy this little tale.
