    My husband, Yale, and I aren’t rich, but we live comfortably. We both have decent paying jobs and own a duplex house, and we live on one side while renting out the other. We’re very frugal and only go out to eat at a restaurant on special occasions and prefer to rent DVDs and watch them at home, rather than go to the movies. The only thing we do that may seem a bit odd and a little eccentric considering our spending habits is that we spend $2.00 every week to buy a lottery ticket. We figured

In fact, today as I finished my grocery shopping, I passed a guy holding a sign that said he was homeless and would appreciate whatever help you, meaning those passing by, could give. I stopped and gave him as much as I could afford, since I'm retired and living on a very tight fixed income, but I considered this an emergency situation. May you and yours have a Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year.

Even though I don't know who it is, I hope his family and friends can find their own miracle to help them celebrate this holiday season. Seth may have lost both of his parents, but Seth and Adam seem to have acquired a new family thanks to their kindness and generosity. I hope life is so kind to your friend's family during this trying time. I wish you and all of them the happiest Christmas you and they can manage, as well as a wonderful New Year.
