Myr, most of the time I write the entire story first, because sometimes I find that I have made an error and have to go in and change things in order for the story to come out correctly. I hate writing myself into a corner that I can't write out of, because I did that in the one story where I tried to write and then post immediately, and that didn't work out too well for me. Oops, I forgot that I started writing and posting with the last book of The Castaway Hotel, but I was able to write it without interruption and my editors were getting the chapters back to me so quickly that it seemed as if I'd written it all in advance. I don't know why I couldn't edit my last entry, but there was no 'edit' icon for me to click on so I just made another entry. -
I may be out in left field, but my guess would be W_L.
-
That's a good choice. I loved that series as well.
-
Yes, W_L, I finished reading it between Christmas and New Year. Like the first book, I had trouble putting it down once I started. Once again, he's heavy on the technical aspects, so he must be a real geek, but the story was fantastic.

I just wanted to wish a Happy New Year to all of the wonderful people here at Gay Authors - the contributors, those who assist, and those who read the stories. May 2021 prove to be much better than 2020 and may you all have a tremendous year.
-
You might want to do that then. I couldn't put it down.

Even without the date at the beginning, it was easy to tell this was the late 70s or early 80s just from the number of men wearing short-shorts. I was so disappointed when those went out of style. They were definitely years ahead of the rest of the country with being out and open as gays, and there are parts of the country when they are still years ahead of the population. Unfortunately, when AIDS came along they paid the price before they understood the disease and how to protect themselves. Very sad indeed.

My son got me hooked on 'Ready Player One' by Ernest Cline when we went on our trip a couple of years ago, so he sent me 'Ready Player Two' for Christmas. If you enjoyed the first book then you should read the sequel - I'm hooked. If not, you might want to check them both out.

Bill W commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Yes, Cia, thank you very much for highlighting our work. I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year and we can only hope it's better than the one that's just about to end. -
Merry Christmas and Happy Kwanzaa to those who celebrate this holiday and a belated Happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate that holiday instead. I'd also like to wish all GA members a very happy and wonderful New Year. May it be much better than the last one!

A very Merry Christmas to all of my fellow GA members who celebrate the holiday. And I'd also like to wish you a very Happy New Year that makes a vast improvement on 2020!

Thanks, Jeffrey, and I'm glad you enjoyed this. It was my effort to urge everyone to have a safe, yet happy, holiday season. Merry Christmas to you and all of the other GA members, along with a healthy and safe New Year. -
Chapter 49 – Highly Irregular Celebrations

Flesco, I truly appreciate your continued support through this series and your kind words. As I told others along the way, the story came about after chatting with some young readers many moons ago who were having difficulty at home or in society in general due to their sexual orientation. This series, at that time merely the first book, was an attempt to give them a safe place to escape to when things got bad. Some actually took up residency in the story, since they asked me to create a character for them, and it seemed to lessen the stress of the situations they were going through. I'm glad the rest of you have enjoyed this as well and I'll see what happens when they pandemic is under control and things settle down. In the meantime, stay safe and follow the guidelines, and don't forget to have a wonderful holiday season and a better new year. -

Dewey, thank you for your continued support and kind words. The Curries have become a second family for me as well and I know they've forced me to reconsider how I do things and how I react to others. I hope all of you have experienced the same positive influence, along with gaining a little knowledge from their many trips. I wish all of my readers and all of the members of GA a wonderful holiday, a prosperous new year, and encourage all of you to stay safe as the pandemic continues. -

Great question. Ian is only in his second year of the four year medical program and I believe they only let the fourth year students out early to assist, and maybe some third year students. Thank you for your continued support and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year as well, along with all of the members here at GA. -

Thanks for the feedback, James, as well as your continued support. I will do my best to add another book to the series, but like I've said, it won't be for quite a while if it happens. Somewhere down the road, after things get better, I may pick up the story again, so please be patient and we'll see how things work out. In the meantime, keep yourself safe and happy and try some of the other stories on GA. -

Thank you for sticking with me, Stix. There is a second vaccine that will require only one dose and that should be getting approved soon in the States. It will still take time to get everyone vaccinated, no matter which vaccine or both are used, but hopefully 2021 will start to be better. I hope we all have a happy holiday and a great new year. -

Jrm, thank you for your continued support, and I agree that this was a trying conclusion to this book. It was tough for me to split Danny, Brandon, and Jake off from the others, but I felt it was the only thing I could do in order to keep the entire family safe. Yes, I knew it would be rough on Xander to have Danny and Brandon missing, but since the extended family is so close I knew that having Josh, Dion, and Trey there for him would help to lessen the blow. It's not like he was being completely deserted. If I do continue the story, it won't be until the pandemic is over and the family is reunited, although there will be some flashbacks to the time they were apart. Fortunately, the moves the family made has kept them all alive and healthy. I wish all of you a safe and wonderful holiday season as well, and may the new year bring better things for all of us. -

Thank you for your support, Haines. As you probably know, the rollout of the vaccine will probably take months and then we'll have to wait to see how effective it proves to be and if the death toll and cases begin to plummet. In the meantime, enjoy the holiday and enjoy the new year. -

Leah, thanks for your continued support and I'll consider another book when the time comes. We'll need to get past the problem with COVID and get an idea of how things are going from there before I can make any plans. Take care and have a happy holiday.
