    After the storm

Well written account of a tragic end, but a powerful message for all that read it. Nicely done, Dyno.
  2. The Spirit of Dr. Suess, live long and prosper. Totally amusing take on the subject.

  4. Many thanks and Happy Holidays to all who do so much to make this site the great place it is! I raise an Egg Nog toast in salute!
  5. The small band that had been selected to complete this mission began its journey with a very secretive and unceremonious departure from Leander. There was no pomp or celebration to launch this expedition, as would be fitting a person of Kieren’s rank. Instead, everything was carried out to mask their true intentions and avoid arousing suspicion about their travels. In fact, the wizard had taken every precaution possible to avoid bringing undue attention to any of the members of the party as t

    Fall From Grace

Thanks for the feedback, Dyno. Yes, there is a lot that is missing from history lessons, especially the contributions gays have made. Let's hope that will someday be corrected.

  11. “Although it may be difficult for you to accept, Kieren, you are the only one who can fulfill the prophecy,” the wizard informed him. “You see, for years my evil brother has been doing magical scans of the countryside to detect those who are descended from the royal bloodline, no matter how remotely. During this time, he has slowly ferreted out each of the royal kin, except for you and your mother. The two of you are all that remains of Ethelbert’s bloodline.” Kieren listened carefully

    Chapter 1

I was a little worried that you were going to break Max and Elliot up, but I'm glad it worked out. Too bad the guards jumped in so quickly, because I would have liked to see Max smack Nate a round a little. He certainly deserved it. Great job and I really enjoyed this.

Thanks for the feedback, Wayne. I just took an idea that was already out there, playing it forward, and tried to build a story that had a positive, seasonal message. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

    Promise Stars

That certainly wasn't your run of the mill Christmas story, but it was enjoyable. Christmas is a time of magic, or how else would reindeer fly and a fat old man fit down a chimney with a sack of presents? Therefore, it was perfectly logical that a warlock determine the fate of his magic during the Christmas season. I had the feeling the cats were somehow Lox's familiars too, although they resided with Max. Was that to help protect Max until Lox found and bounded with him? Thanks for sharing this enchanting tale.
