A very touching story. Here you'd picture your main character as a gruff and unfeeling ogre, yet he turns out to be a real tender and caring guy. Great job!
I was sound asleep when my cell phone began to ring. I always leave it on the nightstand where it will be easy to reach and the ringtone indicated the call was coming from my sister's house. Although I didn't have any idea what she might want, I figured it must be important for her to be calling at this hour. Fortunately, it hadn't awakened my boyfriend, Jeremy, but then again he can sleep through just about anything. I glanced over at his mop of dirty blond hair extending above the sheet, a
Scott Fisher received an unexpected phone call early one morning, which ended up changing his and his boyfriend's lives. Although they didn't realize it beforehand, they were vital clogs in a contingency plan that had far reaching consequences.
Here. This report isn't from the National Enquirer.

Sounds interesting and scary at the same time. What in the world could turn the tables on a great white? And let's hope it isn't looking for new hunting grounds.
I can see people wanting to look like celebrities, but to want to look like a child's doll? Am I missing something? And if I remember correctly from my daughters having those dolls, Ken had no male parts. If that's the case, how can he be anatomically linked to Ken? As the King of Siam might say, is a puzzlement.
It's amazing that these tech savvy kids didn't know that .com stood for commercial or what a modem is. They didn't even know that AOL stood for America Online. The one kid had a real obsession with punching people or getting punched in the face. hehehe
I was on Apple II in the 80s, mainly learning basic and as a word processor, but didn't get on the internet until the mid-90s. I even remember watching similar videos made for adults, explaining how to use the internet (how embarrassing). They did help me get started and then I began writing and posting in late 1998.
The second video - adjust the VCR tracking for the clearest picture. lol The second video was just the full vid the excerpts were taken from that the current teens made fun of. When I saw the kids in the video looking at the Wright Brothers' plane online, it made me realize that's pretty much how the kids in the first video looked at the computer age of the 1990s (scary). It was hilarious that the kids kept looking at the camera, rather than each other, since that's who they were supposed to be teaching. I burst out laughing at the line 'I'm glad we don't have to dissect frogs, like they did in the OLD days.'
Looks interesting, but it could be a big gamble. It depends a lot on who they cast and if it's merely a continuation of the original story line or if they are taking this in a whole new direction. I hope it's the latter, but we'll see.
Just think of how poor the literary world would be without the contributions of gays and lesbians throughout history. It's a shame that they probably had to hide part of their genius, due to the prevailing view of their sexual orientation.
It's a riot listening to and watching the kids' reactions and this isn't even ancient technology. We're only talking 30 years here. What will it be like in another 30 years?
I got a kick out of that first video. Although I could identify with the older pair, I found the younger group confusing. I never thought of myself as old when I was in my 20s. Hell, even hitting 30 didn't bother me. Actually, I don't think I considered myself old until I hit 50, although my kids always assured me I was old before that. Just enjoy the years as they come, because they will pass by soon enough, and don't make yourself old before your time.
The Flash looks interesting and they seem to be tying it in with Arrow and taking advantage of that show's popularity. The CW has come up with some interesting programming, with The 100, Reign, Labyrinth, Vampire Diaries, Beauty and the Beast, Nikita, Zombies and The Messengers, so we'll see how this works out. It seems as if they are trying to corner the younger market.
