Tieing sex--real sex--to a business situation sounds rife with problems. It is known throughout the office so others will be observant. Russ likes Brian and Gordon for now. They might get more exotic and kinky and eventually bored? He is a player. What if Russ seeks to move on the others on the team? Is this a walking time bomb ready to explode?

The Ones We Leave Behind
akascrubber commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Ones We Leave Behind
When they meet Connor and his mates--- Chef Jonathan will win the crowd over with his food and treats. Who can say no to sweet cakes and madelines? Rusty and Matty will win the crowd over with their better ideas, comradeship and good hearts and fabulous , touching singing. Optimism and friendship will always win over the grinch. Connor is a wet blanket who will eventually be seen as too controling and depressing, I bet.- 37 comments

The Ones We Leave Behind

Progress Rusty and Matty met his mom and talked to her even while she was in a coma. Rusty sang to her. They were very pleased. They also met with Roy. He was not happy that they were going to mary. It did not matter or hurt. Rusty and Matty would go there own way. "Rusty stopped only so that he could hug his guy. Matty was his, and that possession thing went both ways. That meant they would only choose to be happy, no matter what happened." Hooray!- 37 comments

What a great adventure lies ahead! I hope the difference in seating does not cause any bitterness. Business class travel is much more comfortable and the wider seating is obvious. But they might be sleeping on most of the flight so the will have little time to talk.

Colin revealed himself and his bum. He set the stage and cannot deny the action. Now, what will Owain do and say? How will Colin react? Will he retreat or will he become friendlier to Owain. They can become more open and act on things they find they both like. They could be quite compatible. Is it now time to live for the moment? Forget others and enjoy who you are now. Owain wants a long time male friend. Colin will find that out later.

Micco is kicked out of the refuge. He is a suspect and cannot stay.He is depressed and feels like... " A castaway. Stripped of friends, family, livelihood, and in the near future, possibly my freedom. " But he is tormented by his lost connection to Chase who was once his boyfriend. Burke tells him Chase was actually torn up by his separation. Will Micco now be told why he left and what will he do with this knowledge? Is Micco at a turning point? He needs to find out so much more. He needs to talk with Chase to find closure and peace, I expect.

When I lived in the Pacific NW, I had a friend who handled property claims, including fire damage, within a region made against a large insurance company who still advertises widely. He left that company to work for a competitor-Allst...- who offered him a better deal. He went back to his former employer after a year and was aghast at the ethics of his new company, He was told to deny claims he thought were valid. Denying claims kept profits up. He in good conscience could not stay with the company who hurt people. Corbin and his pack and pack connections should get a fair deal--or....

I like some Frank Lloyd Wright buildings. But then I went to Grad School at UW-Madison and he was loved and hated there. He reportedly had a gigantic ego and was very demanding, even for an architect. One of his collectives/homes was in Sun Prairie, WI. I visited the home he originally designed for the SC Johnson family, Wingspread. It was dramatic and inspiring, if drafty and leaky.

Out of a tragedy and peril comes a good change from the ashes. Caleb is back and engaged. Asa is so pleased. Corbin has friends who will help him recover and start building his dream place. Besides, bad guys better be wary. They will face powerful opponents now. "Asa couldn’t help feeling proud of how far his mate had come. Whatever it took to keep him happy, he was all for it. It delighted him to see Caleb so involved with life again. It was a far cry from where he’d been a few months ago. His heart swelled with love as he listened to Caleb and Corbin bounce ideas back and forth on the ride back to the ranch."

I expect Asa and Caleb will be high on Huntington's hit list. Caleb turned on him in Montana. Asa with Caleb's help are curing the hybrids. Their abilities must be widely know amomg the shifter communities. They have more hybrids to help in father away places who will come to them. Huntingon wants them dead and now they are in their cabin not by the pack hq in Texas. They are easy targets, But they are shifters so any killers will need to be careful. Time for snipers?

Chapter 81: Final Chapter
akascrubber commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 81: Final Chapter
Forgiver my oversight for not noticing the chapter title--Final Chapter. The story is not marked complete yet. A scrivener's error? But for now--thank you. You have witten a wonderful . fadcinating story that has captivated me and many others. You are to be commended. I was not ready for it to end and focused on the substance of the finely written text. You answered questions about his family and in the end gave George peace and showed he was ready to help later an injured but still very alive Calvert who he loves. Things are left unresolved like what about Caroline , but that can be an ongoing matter. It does not appear he will obtain a new ship soon so he will be at home for awhile. A new book might start off with a new focus. He is far away from experiencing pressure from his time in Russia and the Baltic. Norther Ex[posure has been majestic and wide ranging. George was tested and grew in wisdom and his place in society. He personal life faced turmoil and loss and pain. He worked through it all and kept his good friends and heart and his capacity for love So far this book ranks highest of your 8 Bridgemont stories in terms of comments at 1610 comments so far. It ranks second only to Odyssey in terms of total words and views. Northern Exposure was published over more than a 6 year time span. I feel a loss not being able to find out what next happens to George with the current focus. A hope a new book is not far away. Well Done. Bravo , Mark Arbour!- 57 comments

Chapter 81: Final Chapter
akascrubber commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 81: Final Chapter
Two letters from his grandfather and Calvert tore him apart and made him think and re-think. Ultimately, he became hopeful. George better learned what had happened. He ran the gamut of emotions thinking about Calvert whose left arm was damaged by grapeshot. His final disposition is not known. For now, he may keep his arm. What is known is that Calvert won a major battle and should be praised as his grandfather told him. Maybe George can help get the word out in due course. Calvert wants to return to England and to George. Certainly, George wants him back should be central to Calvert recovering both physically and mentally. Calvert is depressed and experiencing melancholy. He needs George's support and will get it. Heck, Lord Nelson goes to see with one arm and might be an inspiration to Calvert , if necessary.- 57 comments

Chapter 81: Final Chapter
akascrubber commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in Chapter 81: Final Chapter
Granger's mother told him new information about his family dynamics. He better understood the divisions and motivations. The was a mind opening ride. He learned of his mother's influence on turning around his father's treatment of his tenants. He changed from what his father did to begin treating his tenants humanely and earned their loyalty. Peace was kept when others elsewhere protested. Money though was a serious problem for his father. He took over the estate at 18 and only then learned he was faced with heavy debts that did not become resolved until he received a large marriage dowry. In the meantime his two sisters needed husbands and he could not give them a suitable dowry, so they married men they did not want or love and hated George's father. Duchess Suffolk believed Lady Kendal really liked George and wanted to enable him to provide suitable dowries for his daughters unlike what she experienced. It was likely she thought her estate would let him provide good dowries to help his daughters marry well. George is well situated, like few others. This is a powerful insight on marriage expectations and limits among high society around the time of George II- 57 comments

What a wonderful idea brought to life. Two new apartment buildings to be home for their extended family. Colin was so supportive and wise. Armand painting things for the children is so thoughtful. They will have special gifts and good memories.

Toby showed off his science project at the city science fair. He won a commendation. Maybe, next time with new mates he will incorporate an experiment. He continues to explore and develop his ecology ideas. Brian and Gordon and other family members showed up and praised Toby's work. Toby seems very balanced and supportive of Brian and Gordon . A small problem with some anti-gay parents was handled discretely and calmly. Toby with the help of a friendly teacher will have new science partners next time.

Curtis Buck hired the gun man who is now talking. Was he acting alone or was he the advanced party to a hit squad. This thought is very scary. We do not know who is the father of Travis. The blood test said Jake and Travis are half-brothers. They could have the same father. Could he be the grandfather of Travis? We need to hear from the mother of Travis.

Dr Arbour probably will publish when he is ready and able. We cannot provoke him, I bet. I am hoping to read about the dinner party with Travis and his family and in a few days what is happening to George Granger. I have high hopes.

Seth moved out but is troubled, He does not feel part of his father's family. Longer term, he does not know why his father left and his mother hates hi father. Is it more than a worry about Stacy being taken away? Why did his mother seem to treat him as a boarder, not a son? Now is not his father also treating him as a boarder? Seth feels the chaos in his family life. He is fortunate to have friends that care for him.

Yes--the enemy like likely a crew from Huntington's effort. My second guess was hunters. We will find out soon. Asa can be a skilled spy with fast speed. He might be able to learn who the enemy is. However, it could be a diversion to deflect attention away from Montana. Besides, Caleb must still be a key hated figure for Huntington. When he comes back, he could be targeted. I think Caleb's relationship with his son was left unresolved. Caleb needs time,
