If this is the second floor, what is on the first floor?! Rooms again? So, there is ground floor, 1st floor, and 2nd floor? It's not a house, it's hotel! Anyway, rather big house for a single resident. I suppose he has some staff for cooking, cleaning ... As a city guy, I could never live alone in a such a big house somewhere isolated, but I understand author's need for peace and quiet. Ha, @Mikiesboy's character (also writer) lives on an isolated Scottish island. In era of smart phones, internet, e-mail; two guys choose to communicate by handwritten letters. It is old fashioned and incredible romantic. It takes some time, dedication and preparation but that piece of paper bears a part of the author's soul. Beautiful chapter, I'm eagerly waiting the next one.

Absolutely agree. As I have told many times before - Kege's death description are some of the best lines @kbois has ever written! It's ... well, it's magnificent. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean we won't continue to grill her about it! 😁 The problem is when authors decide to make such big cut in the story out of lack of inspiration or out of boredom. But then you can sense it's fake.

There is huge lack of communication between Justin and his parents, father mainly! There is something dysfunctional in this family that nobody is aware of!

One stupid mistake, and complete life goes to hell! Was Phil lucky to survive or cursed to watch the love of his life dying?! Still, this is an optimistic chapter. All of them are making a small, but important step forward.

To Ollie's mother nothing is sacred ... she doesn't have respect for living as well as for deceased. She should be left in the past and forgotten.

Justin saved by Scott again, seems that he is starting to open up a little bit. Alcohol and drugs - fast forward to self-destruction, what demons are torturing this poor boy? First love between Chriss and Billy has been so nicely written that I thought they are going to be together again at some moment in the future. Obviously, that ship has sailed away, maybe Bill gets his own story one day (with Justin's brother in army ) ...

Well, that's the risk he has taken having you as editor! Where you go - Krew goes too! (No isolated Scotland islands to escape for authors who kill favorite character or choose brother over groom )

What a nice early Christmas present @Andr0gene! Kai's POV relieves a lot and answers most of the questions from previous chapter. Now, I'm really intrigued - how many letters till they meet? 😉

Adam is not autistic but lightly OCD and very 'melodramatic'... and romantic (I suppose it is artistic side of him). What a preparation and atmosphere building just to read one letter! I wouldn't be surprised if he is author of historical romance fiction ... something as Bridgerton! 😁 I like Dear John way of starting a romance, although it is still early to make predictions. Seems that, since the death of their father, everything happened so fast - death, selling of the house, renovation... Still strange that Kai was not informed, he has been already in USA, spoke to his siblings for holidays ... Very interesting start of a story!

I will leave speculations regarding Justin's problem for now because nothing much has been relieved yet. But it is interesting to see at the end of the chapter, Chriss feelings toward Justin changing from friendly to romantic. Very good writing style @Mark Ponyboy Peters. I almost feel like sitting on the beach, inhaling the smell of see and watching the beautiful sky!

Since yesterday I'm looking for the right word to describe this situation and, here it is irrational - thank you @Summerabbacat! First, I thought Alex was pathetic ... But, after reading his POV, I understood that it is not just one evening and party, there was culmination of events. Both of them have problem to express their feelings and there is explosion of miscommunication! It's like playing Chinese whispers game! Alex's biggest problem is insecurity that comes from relationships in his family. Ignored by his father, with brother who shows concern now that he is leaving (Matt knows that he is leaving a bomb ticking but he was supposed to be there for his brother earlier, now is too late) ... Blair generally has problem feeling misfit. In old school he was nerd, in new school he is poor. Alex was his only safe place. He is smart but he has to grow up and mature too.

They are hilarious, I can imagine them, wet and exhausted, sway like drunks ... To quote again Del Boy from my favorite British sitcom 'Only fools and horses' - Au contraire Tomy, au contraire - getting fit and staying health is nr. one priority for our boys! 😁

Being gay for Justin might be just the 'top of the iceberg'. Having someone to speak to, especially if that someone has already saved your life once, can be healing. I'm glad you have started posting your stories at GA. They were on my reading list for some time, but never found time for so much binge... I've even started reading one story, not knowing it is part of this 'series', about author coming back to his hometown... Then there was beach, and all the characters who already have their story... and I stopped reading because it has been illogical to read backwards! Nevertheless, this way, chapter by chapter, I'll learn about this magnificent world you have created.
