  1. @Al Norris because in Chapter 3 I said '...as far as Catholic priests go...'
  2. Yeah ... nah ... I think I'll leave that one alone! lol I did think that Little Jack Horner might be worth working on though! haha
  3. @weinerdog small town = small congregation perhaps? 😉
  4. Rub a dub dub Two boys in a tub Each checking out Their hard little nubs . I'm not sure what to do To make it go down Says boy number one While wearing a frown . I can help out, says boy number two Today you're in luck Just let me kneel down And I'll give you a suck!
  5. It was after eleven when we left the mountain, just after my mother had tried to call while Charlie and I had still been deep in discussion. I had sent a text to say we would meet them at the church, and so, after heading back down the mountain and returning to Charlie’s place, where we quickly changed, we then took a short walk to the small country church. It was only a block away from Charlie’s house and we arrived with just minutes to spare, finding my mother and Toby waiting impatiently by t
  6. When I stepped back out into the bright morning the peace and quiet was suddenly shattered, as my ears were assaulted with the sound of a long wolf whistle. ‘Lookin’ pretty sexy there, Tony,’ I heard Guy say from the back door of the house, once the ringing in my ears had subsided. I looked at him and grinned, noticing that he was looking pretty sharp as well, even if he was only wearing dark jeans and a dress shirt. ‘And just who did you get all dressed up for?’ I asked. ‘Ss
  7. @chris191070 just give them some time!
  8. Oh yes, @Summerabbacat, I usually don't go into American-isms too much, but if I'd said 'thongs' it would have been just far too confusing! haha
  9. When the cool water rushed over my feet for the first time, then cascaded back around them, dragging sand and seaweed with it, I soon found myself struggling to stand. It was just like it had been on my very first visit to a beach, when I was six years old. I stopped and Guy finally let go of my hand, then turned back towards me. ‘What’s up?’ he asked. I looked at my feet and he looked down there as well. ‘Quicksand!’ I giggled. ‘Oh man, get a grip!’ he laughed. I loved the s

    Greedy

Got to love it when the bully gets his just desserts!!! 😋
  11. Oh yes. It is the same here! Just the accusation can be enough to tar a person for life if you are living in the wrong place. Of course, time can help heal most wounds, and for the most part things might will be forgotten, but sadly, there will always be that one person who will remember, and let you know that they remember! 😥 I have seen it happen far too often.
  12. After Luke had left me, I finished my breakfast then sought out the trousers I had been wearing yesterday, before retrieving my phone from the pocket. I had turned it off before my flight had left Brisbane yesterday and had deliberately left it off all day, for the simple reason that while I was here I was wanting a little bit of alone time, a little bit of time where I didn’t have to think about deadlines or contracts or offers of any sort. I knew that once my presence here was known there
  13. As did I ... and even more so when the movie came out!
  14. "Y-you just mark my words now..." 😋
  15. Thank you so much. I hope you enjoy the story 🙂
  16. When I arrived back here in Thompsonville I wasn’t exactly sure of what I should expect, as even from my own relatively short life experience I had already found that time has a habit of changing people. I needn’t have worried though, as Luke and Matt were still the same as they always had been; loving, funny, supportive and a whole lot of fun to be around. It wasn’t hard to love them. I have to admit that it was terrific catching up with everyone that night over great steaks and a few bee
  17. @Summerabbacat THIS!!! It was from their album Jokers and Queens. Got to see them perform on the Jokers and Queens tour. Simply awesome!
  18. @Summerabbacat we haven't mentioned my favourite Aussie artist yet . . . the late, great Jon English! And another one I thought of today . . . TMG! lol (Not everyones cup of tea I will agree)
  19. Oh, yes! Annie is quite a talent!
  20. Yeah . . . nah! lol
  21. Haha ... I haven't heard that in a while! Rather enjoyable, all things considered! Billy Field ... interesting character. I loved those two songs. He ran a recording studio in Sydney (used by ALL THE BIG NAMES) and now lives around Gosford.
  22. @Summerabbacat so now I've had to go searching for some of my other old favourites. Be interested to know whether they get a thumbs up or thumbs down from ya!
  23. I guess if everybody you know abandons you, chances are your life could feel like it's spiralling out of control. It's how you react to that happening that shows your character ... so let's see how things develop from here? 😉
  24. As Tim and Guy pulled their vehicle to a stop in front of the garage, the three of us were waiting for them. From the moment they laid eyes on me and recognised me I knew instantly how I would be received by the pair of them. Tim’s frown said most of what I needed to know, while Guy’s smile said the rest. ‘Here goes nothing,’ I whispered to Luke as I brushed past him and headed for the driver’s side door from which Tim was now emerging. I figured it would be best to get the more daunti
  25. Yeah ... it was an odd mix. And how the fuck they came up with the list I have no idea. Still, it was an interesting stroll down memory lane
