Also the relationship between Dennis & Travis...When I first read the grocery scene, I was soooo confused as to what happened between the two of them in 9 months and feared the worst. But their interaction later in kitchen answers those questions. And this line...

*gasp* You'd choose the brooding/emo kid with the silver spoon in his mouth over finding out about the goings on between Owen/Aiden, Travis/Dennis, Chris/Lacy, Leo/Ben, Sarah/Travis, Travis/Michael, Ryan/Lacy????

So I've had this one gym crush for several years now, and today, FINALLY, I got his name. This is a monumental moment for me so I had to blog about it. I think I mentioned in previous blogs of taking the same cycle class he's in, or following his car when I saw him leave the grocery . When it comes to him, I seem to throw common sense out the window. I didn't get his name like a normal/sane person would... like overhearing someone talk to him or something direct like ohhhhh, say talking to him and asking him his name.... Today I was browsing pictures of a 10K running race that took place this weekend. I was going to run in the race, but backed out and decided to do an 11 mile training run with a friend instead. I was browsing through the pictures to check on people I know. While paging through the 2000 pictures, my heart skips a beat when I see a picture that shows my gym crush running. I couldn't believe it! Well, they don't do anything easy like put the names of the people in the pictures, so I have to MacGyver it and do some sleuthing. There are pictures from many phases of the race and then there is a listing of all the runners in the order they finish. I focus in on the photos from the midpoint to the end of the race. I do know a few people in the race, so I find them, and then find where they placed. I found a buddy Fred and then see where he placed. I then count the number of people (via pictures) my gym crush is away from Fred. Now this isn't an exact science because since these photo's weren't taken at the end, the people may not have finished in the same order they show up in the pictures. Well, Gym crush was consistently running with a girl, they looked like friends (hopefully just friends). So I looked for M/F pairings that finished within a few seconds of each other. Everyone in the race wears a race bib which has a number (unfortunately, the number isn't cross-referenced with any names...otherwise it would have made my job easier). However, each bib does have a coloured sticker which tells you what age group the person is in. Gym Crush and his friend both had the same color. I find another friend who has that same color and that tells me that Gym Crush & friend are in the 30-39 age range. There are two pairs of people that they could be, so now I look at the person after each of these groupings. I google these names, but don't get any hits. However, one of the last names is distinctive, so I facebook search that last name. I find a female version, and when I look at her pictures, she shows her husband, which matches the picture of the guy right after my Gym Crush and his friend! So with all that info, I was able to figure out pretty much who he is . I finally have a name. And now I know he runs races!!! I'm definitely not skipping any more races! Vic P.S. - I'm a stalker

Dom () always finishes a story. They may sit on the shelf for a while as his inspiration may take him in a different direction, but he does get back to them. With both DD & ITFB, the stories both got better after the long hiatuses. I would rather the writing be good & inspired, then for Dom to complete them just for the sake of completing them. I've read many stories where you can feel the author rushed the endings or the story just peters out.

I'm not sure where this was discussed 4 years or so ago, either in the Yahoo group or somewhere in the Domaholic's forum, but I think we all agreed that the Aaron mentioned as one of Aiden's former BFs wasn't Aaron Kessling from Desert Dropping. The Lo(n)g Way town has winter & snow. Aiden in the high school years always lived in the same town that TLW was based in. When Owen first came to town, Tony mentioned that he & Chris were there for 3 years and that Aiden started hanging out with them right when they moved in. Aiden was 17yo when he met Owen, so that means at least from age 14-17, he was in the same town. Aaron Kessling lives in the hot desert of Arizona. He also said he grew up there, not indicating that he moved away from Arizona. So it doesn't appear that there was a chance that Aaron & Aiden were in the same town during the teen years.

What a great ending! While I'm sad to see ITFB come to an end, I feel like there's been a lot of closure at many levels. Dennis & Travis seem to be settling into a mutually respectful relationship. John & Dennis seem to have a better understanding of each other. Seems like John doesn't have a problem with what Dennis & Travis are doing in the bedroom. This exchange was particularly funny.... And Dennis, Leo, & Ben all seem to be moving forward from the incident of Ben/Lyle.

That was a great chapter.... There was all types of nice closure, or maybe not closure, but moving forward. Dennis/John G, Dennis/Ben, Leo, Dennis possibly movement in his career, Owen, Travis. And then... They're a little far from the center, so I'm afraid no one will see them. I'm guessing Lyle will point the gun at Michael and tell him to split. But what will Michael do? I'm hoping that Michael takes the baseball and throws it into Lyle's privates .

Nice Drew That was probably when she met Emily (Milo's mom) when she wanted to have the wedding on their property. I remember laughing when Emily called her 'Mrs. Nelson' I'm so happy to hear that you're on a writing binge, but hopefully you are binge-ing for your own sake and not due to satisfying us. Don't burn out. Because no matter how much you write, we'll always want more.

If Travis would have been there back in the day, I suspect Travis would have been the one to jump in to stick for Aiden when Dennis broke Aiden's camera. Travis would be part of the 'Fag Patrol' standing up for Aiden, Reilly, & all others that were bullied by Dennis, Phil Clayton, and the rest of the boneheads. And poor Owen would be the burnout with long hair, wearing lose clothes that swallow him, spending most of his time holed up in his room.

You need to re-read TLW. Dennis' actions (or lack thereof) didn't start & end when Ben got beat up. From TLW Ch 8

What a great chapter...lot's of loose ends being tied up. Maybe Tony's return and problem solving skills will help get everyone in balance again. I agree with others, it's Lyle & Leo who need to fight to burn through their anger at Dennis. Ben seems to have moved forward, Leo needs to also. Just like Owen, I can't make sense of what Aiden meant

As rad has pointed out in the ITFB Ch 27 thread, we've been given another clue that sure sounds like Dennis played catcher...

It's definitely a feel good classic to read during the holiday season!

The multiple cliffhangers reminded me of how the later chapters of TOSOM played out. It seems like we'll be seeing several plots come to a fiery (both literally and perhaps physically) end....

I think this was discussed back in the day and the consensus was that it was a different Aaron.

The shopping for the new clothes was the bonus of losing weight and getting fit. If you do go shopping, you may want to buy snug fitting clothes as you may lose some more weight. By the time you hit your eventual goal, they'll be well fitting.
