  1. Yeah, Dennis isn't exactly a straightforward communicator... For example, instead of saying, "Travis, I think we should go steady and exclusive" he says..."Travis. While you
  2. Dom has spoken on the sex/no-sex topic in the past in blogs, posts, etc. I'll try to summarize (and if I'm wrong I'm sure DL will pop in and correct me ). TLW had a lot of sex because it was his first story and he thought he had to have sex in the story. Dom also said that writing the sex scenes were difficult. Not that he didn't like sex or that he was a prude, but that writing the sex scenes were a challenge. Dom also likes to write original/unique stuff. Since he pretty much had Aiden & Owen do everything, there was very little new literary ground he could break. Also, a lot of Dom's fans said they skipped the sex scenes. I know I know, *gasp*. It took me a couple years to get used to the idea that some people skipped them. So for those reasons, you'll see fewer and fewer sex scenes in the newer stories. Here are some previous threads on the topic... sex scenes started by hollaburo sex started by Domluka Is in necessary for TOU... ? started by bardeara Let's talk about sex started by me
  3. Owen's a bone head... He's taken pieces of advice and applied them inappropriately. I mean, now he's blaming their breakup on Aiden, accusing Aiden of being insecure about it, when the only reason Aiden became insecure about their relationship in the first place was because Owen started bringing it up. Owen needs a few more sessions with Ben, stat.
  4. That's how I felt . I remember when I first finished reading it, I tried finding a few people online to see if they read it the same way. I kept thinking, 'it can't be DD Luke'.

    Snow in Chicago

But Mattieeeeee, I want them to be able to walk. I'm not desperate enough (yet) that I'll need one who's maimed and bed-ridden so they can't escape.

    Snow in Chicago

I lived in chicago most of my life and it always seemed that every winter several people were dying of heart attacks when they shoveled snow. Hope you get out of there okay and get somewhere warm
  7. Welcome apjordan! Enjoy the sneak peeks and be sure to let us know what you think of them.
  8. I'd love to shop at walmart. However the few in my town are just so darn crowded and the people with their carts are just so darn agressive. <edit> Used the edit feature as Sharon described perfectly! Thanks! who knew you had to scroll so far right and down.
  9. Yes, and I (as one of his addicted fans) am grateful

    Snow in Chicago

Hahaha. I left Chicago on Friday, and for the 8 days I was there, the weather was reasonable, without any snow. There were a few times where all I was wearing were shorts and a hoodie. Now I hear from my relatives that there's about 8 inches of snow on the ground, and that a lot of flights were canceled on sunday...whew, I'm glad I got out of there unscathed. The weather gods were smiling upon me. Maybe I should go buy some lottery tickets.
  13. It's a standalone story, with characters from two existing series.
  14. Seriously, walmart, on black friday? The last time I was at Walmart, I got stuck in a side aisle because the traffic on the main aisle I was turning into was going to fast. No one would let me turn in .
  15. He didn't want a relationship with Quinn, he was just jealous of the relationship that Quinn & Jude have.
  16. There are two available oars for you and the other voter.
  17. I've been pondering the title (Never Was) and I'm wondering if it refers to Taylor's relationship with James, the BF he just poisoned with the milk, or *gasp* could it be telegraphing that the relationship between Taylor & Luke will be short-lived? Just a quick fling?
  18. Bah! you both are thinking like men. We need women to explain their side
  19. I'm curious if anyone has heard from Menzo (Menzoberranzen) lately. He hasn't been around in a while and I know he'd be discussing ITFB Ch 21/22 if he were around. Hiatus, possessive boyfriend, schoolwork, etc... don't need to know the reason, just want to be sure he's okay . Vic (who worries too much)
  20. Thank goodness Banana Republic is okay Luckily, most of the companies I do business with are green.
  21. Tim Happy Birthday!!!! May all your wishes come true!
  22. I supposed I always knew men & women (generally) thought differently about sex, but it wasn't so clear cut to me until last night. I'm still on hiatus in Chicago and last night I met a friend for coffee & chatting at Panera (btw, Panera is like the most bestest place in the whole world! I really really wish they'd have one in my town in California...Asiago Cheese Bagels, Free wifi, cookies to die for ). So this friend of mine is a former high school classmate. We were having a really good time and then somehow we got onto the topic of sex. She was explaining how her fiance gets frustrated because he always wants sex but that she's not always in the mood. The fiance travels a lot for work, so after a long week away, the first thing he wants is a roll in the hay. She on the other hand, doesn't feel that way. For example, this past week, he arrived on a thursday night. She had a long day at work, there was a lot of traffic to the airport, his flight was delayed, snow on the ride back from the airport, etc. Basically, a long and draining day. While she missed him and was glad he was back, sex was the last thing on her mind. He on the other hand was excited to see her and wanted sex that night and she said 'are you kidding me, not going to happen' . However, the next day, she spent the entire day with me shopping, hanging out, eating chocolate. I also had dinner with the two of them at my favourite Pizza place (Lou Malnati's) and she was so happy that her fiance and I got along so well (this was the first time I'd met him). She said when she got home that night, she was on such an emotional high that she really wanted sex with him that night (and of course he was okay with it). At first I was like 'huh, spending the day with me made you want to have sex '. But no, we don't feel that way about each other. But she was trying to make me understand that she needs to be in a good, positive state of mind in order to be open to sex. That she needs to feel emotionally good in order for it to happen. For myself, I could have a terrible day, be mad at my partner, but if he suggested sex, I'd be all for it . As I said this was a real eye opener for me. Thank goodness I'm gay and don't have to worry about it. [edit] So after a long travel day, I'm back from Chicago. I had a good time catching up with old friends, seeing family I haven't seen in years, and celebrating my sisters graduation from nursing school. What was amazing to me was the number of age appropriate good looking guys in the Chicagoland aread versus where I live now. I probably could have gotten whiplash with all the looking I was doing. If I could get over the cold & traffic, I may have to move back there.
  23. I just realized you don't really have any questions in your blog, you just wanted to brag that you were in a 3some. Good for you
  24. Oh hell no, guests don't get to decide where my dog sleeps. Especially outdoors during the winter. My dog sleeps in the bed with me curled up by my feet (or the Ex when he has custody of her). While I won't let my dog annoy guests who don't want dogs jumping on them or kissing them (those non-dog people ), their asses would have to find somewhere else to stay if they didn't want the dog indoors. Keep your foot firmly planted. If for some crazy reason you agree with your guests, you probably won't have a good nights sleep and neither will your dogs. Those who are loyal and love you unconditionally shouldn't be treated so poorly.
