Hey Steve, I don't think it's late to get your GED as well, I think you should continue and take a stab at college. Although I don't teach an the University I work at, a lot of my friends are professors. While hanging out with a couple of them at coffee shops, they show me the papers that these kids turn in :wacko: . OMG most of the kids can't write, spell, or put together sentences. I swear MANY of these 'college students' are barely writing at a 9th grade level. And goodness, they have the benefit of spell checkers & other tools within word processors. It just seems like so many students are being socially promoted here in California. So I don't know if this makes you feel better, but just based off of your blog writing I think you are WAY ahead of many of them . If you need help brushing up on math, I'm sure a lot of folks here would be more than willing to help. Here's my contribution: A GA author is chasing after you at a speed of 10mph because he wants you to read his story and give him feedback. You loath reading his story but want to spare his feelings so you take of running. Since you are carrying a large backpack, you are only able to run at 7 mph. The distance between the two of you when you started running was 1/2 a mile. How many minutes will it take for this stalking GA author to catch up to you???? Take Care

I agree that looks are an important part of the package and the good news is that EVERYONE has different tastes or definitions of attractive. Because of that, I'm a firm believer that there is someone out there for everyone. Just like Razor, I have my type..which is pretty darn specific. I'm only attracted to white guys who are 5'8"-5'11", extremely thin, brown hair that's short and straight, and eyes that scream 'I'm an innocent little puppy'. *cough* dairy queen *cough* . But as everyone else has said, looks only gets you so far. Now granted it may get you to 3rd base *cough* menzo *cough*, but looks alone does not a relationship make. Take Care

opps, Dennis saw Ben picking out the condoms. I'm thinking Ben will realize that Dennis 'helped him out' and that it's the beginning of their reconciliation. Sounds like he did accept when he picked up the stack of flyers/coupons on his way out. Not only do I want Aiden to get it, I want us to be able to read it too! I'm not sure it was said in the story, but I think Dom might have mentioned it in his blog. I think ITFB is set about 2 years later. Plus, I remember a part in the story where we find out that Kyle is 19 and Nicky is 18. Owen was a Junior in TLW and I believe he's taking classes at the local college. So 1.5 to 2 years sounds about right. Of Course Travis is falling for Dennis . And Dennis is falling for Travis too.

Pennies seem to be a quirk for Travis too. I was thinking that he used the pennies to jam between the door and the opening, either as a way to lock in/out Bill & Sara, or as an early warning (when the door opened, the pennies would fall and make a lot of noise). The last scene was kind of like an intervention for Sandy. Since everyone in the room seemed to be working against her point of view, it appeared as if they were making good progress by wearing her down and verbally beating the homophobia out of her. The question is, will the realization that Davey is gay help her on her road to enlightenment or send her over the edge and back into the clutches or her anti-gay views?

Ummm , there have been several references to snow and such (remember when Travis was sledding with Dennis & the Chelsey's), and I believe there was a reference to a date being in February. So maybe Tony is a taking a semester off or something from school. Take Care

While it seems like ITFB has been going for a lo(n)g time, I think that only 1 or 2 weeks has passed in story time. Plus Jake and Tony are twentysomething gay guys, they have all the vacation time in the world. Then again, shouldn't Tony be in school? . Also, for story purposes, it helps to have Tony away. If he were around, he'd be too grounding of an influence on Owen. Owen needs Tony away in order to be a bit psycho. Take Care®, Vic

To the guys who start taking good care of their skin at an early age, good for you!!! For those of you who snicker at this, I'd suggest taking advise from Kevin , BoyNeedsTherapy, & Menzo. Maybe they could put together a skin care regiment for those who are dermatalogically unsure of themselves. Being on the verge of 40, I'm noticing crows feet and wrinkles developing near my eyes :wacko: . The lack of proper skin care at an early age (as well as rollerblading in 108 degree heat at 4:30pm in the California sun) has me wishing I had such sage advice in my twenties. to the Exfoliators!!!! I don't disagree with you. Of course straight men care for and worry about other people and not be attracted to them. It's just that Kyle really seems to have taken his caring to an abnormally higher level when it comes to Travis. Arranging jobs for someone who doesn't want the help is one thing. But opening up his mail and paying nursing home bills for unknown patients? IMHO, that goes a bit beyond 'normal' caring, and the skeptic in me thinks that there is another reason that explains the extent of Kyle's caring. Maybe Kyle lost a younger brother in the past due to neglect and Travis is his attempt to make up for it. Maybe Kyle served with Allan on a crab fishing boat (ala Deadliest Catch on the Discovery Channel), and Allan in a freak crab pot accident was injured. On his deathbed, he made Kyle promise to look after his little brother Travis.
