  1. I realize that porn is all about the visuals, but I never understood why facials were so important. But then again, I really don’t understand the choking! If you appreciate your partner, why do you want to try killing him? Asphyxiation is extraordinarily dangerous!
  2. Dustin is Gay! And he Came Out and everything! Wow! ;-) So what happens with John Taylor’s Proclamation? It sounded like at least some of the other kids were unhappy with it! Maybe they can arrange a walkout or something. Some kind of big protest! ;-) Of course, there’s always the alternative: 🎶 Gotta cut loose! Footloose! 🎶 (Sorry @Wesley8890! I just can’t help myself!) ;-)
  3. Of course they do! They make you supply the props in the first place. Why wouldn’t you be allowed to take them home with you? ;-)
  4. Were you on the Gong Show? Oops, you’re not old enough to remember that one! I’m really showing my age now! ;-)
  5. Then try Dancing in the Sheets, Dancing in the Dark, or Dancing in the Streets! ;-)
  6. Because we love you! And you keep feeding us all those great lines for us to use! WWS, mascara, and kids are just three of your most common Comment topics! ;-)
  7. I’ve seen and enjoyed most of the movies on your Seen list. On your Yet To Watch list, I enjoyed Akron; Center of my World; and Patrik, Age 1.5. I haven’t seen Call Me by Your Name yet, but I have read the book. Since Lad: a Yorkshire Story is on your list (I’ve never heard of it myself), you might want to see God’s Own Country which is also set in ‘All Creatures-Land’ (Yorkshire). ;-)
  8. No. Far from it. I’m old and on Disability for depression & anxiety. I was teasing @Wesley8890 – and it worked! ;-) The other day, there was a conversation on the W.A.R. Story Discussion Forum where I mentioned the movie Footloose.
  9. And I’m trying. Very trying! 🎶 Gotta cut loose! Footloose! 🎶
  10. There are FAQs under the Help tab just to the left of the Search box in the upper right corner of the page. ;-)
  11. Welcome! I hope you comment more in the future! I like having fun with what I say in the comments and the more the merrier! ;-)
  12. But @BlindAmbition should be sure to avoid an author who bases the protagonist and his husband/partner/lover on himself and his own situation. Said author has written several long stories with different settings and even genres. In a couple cases, his protagonist even shares the author’s own first name. In one case, two characters from one story crossed over to another in a wildly different genre and interacted with each other – there were comments about how they looked like twins separated at birth! ;-) The author is working through his issues following his husband's death from cancer. One story is particularly close to the real situation and the author hasn’t been able to get much past the diagnosis. Another story is in the vampire genre which allows his husband to live forever. He has about three stories he’s been updating concurrently. But he is very easy to tease! I continually suggest that his stories are or should be crossing over. I think he realized it was a mistake to have done the crossover, as fun as it was, and refuses to do it again. ;-) PM me if you really want to know who I’m referring to – if you don’t already know! ;-)

    Chapter 6

Actually, mine (the first one) was the one that suggested someone else texted Troy. I figured since they can spoof phone numbers to make robocalls, someone has probably figured out how to spoof phone numbers for texts too! Others made the more logical assumption that they just happened to catch Troy responding to his mother’s text.

    Chapter 6

So… The text was just a rouse ruse to get Troy and Adam split up so they could attack Troy. I thought it was going to be the other way with Adam getting attacked on the way home alone. It didn’t take the homophobes long to react after the dance. While I’ve know Openly Gay Latinos, there is a lot of pressure to stay in the Closet and hide their orientation from their family. But especially if the parents were born in the US, love can overcome cultural pressures. I was friends with a straight Latinx couple who not only went to the SF Gay Pride Parade with me, but both even perused a Gay porn magazine – he even commented on the guys in the pictures! He was not threatened by my being Gay! 😉
  15. You are so easy to tease! ;-)
  16. But… but…but… you said you would alternate! ;-)
  17. You’re bisexual? ;-)
  18. You know… if you merged all of your stories, you’d only have to update one story! ;-) Eric and Chet like to adopt everyone they meet! Pretty much as soon as they’re introduced, they want them to be part of their family. That’s a big part of Hawaiian culture! The Aloha spirit. Very welcoming! ;-)
  19. Russ Solomon founded Tower Records in Sacramento, California and expanded the company worldwide with stores across the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Mexico, Israel, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, among others. There was a San Francisco store in the Upper Market neighborhood, just a few blocks away from Castro Street. And a large store on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. Tower Japan went independent in a management buyout four years before Tower went bankrupt in the US. Tower Japan still operates stores (85 in 2014). So if you’re really nostalgic… ;-) Tower Records had an uneven record as far as LGBTQ supportiveness is concerned. In May 1969, Tower Records’ giant location on Bay & Columbus was picketed for firing a suspected Gay employee. But many of the locations carried a lot of LGBTQ merchandise (including music, movies, and magazines). More suburban locations were not as supportive. From Wikipedia:

    Blood Sells

It’s very clear why the ‘star’ is on his way down. ;-) Too bad for him that Gay directors like casting forgotten or fading female actors rather than slumping-career male actors. Of course, the Pet Shop Boys have done that with a few nearly-forgotten female singers too! LGBTQ fans are notoriously faithful. ;-) @Wesley8890 should love this one! Lots of blood! He loves scary movies! ;-)
  21. Will it involve Rush and Loring Lane? ;-)

    Chapter 13

There were hints that Dean found Carter attractive, ‘if he gained some weight, he’s so skinny’ (if I recall correctly). We can’t claim this wasn’t foreshadowed! So Dean & Carter get an HEA! Randy & TJ get an HEA! You get an HEA! (Were we all on Oprah?) ;-) How did I not remember how this story ended? I know that you always manage to wrap things up nicely and that your stories always have happy endings (no, not that kind!). But I was dreading this last chapter anyway! You somehow got me so wrapped up in your storytelling, I forgot what I’d read the first time around! ;-) Lucky thirteen! ;-)
  23. I once worked in a bookstore with a woman who claimed to have ‘math dyslexia.’ She was always off when she counted out her register drawer, so she went out of her way to go through all the book racks in front of the registers to find change that customers had dropped. I never understood why she had such a big problem counting out change since the register and the receipt both listed the correct amount. (We’d have the cashier recount the drawer if their count didn’t match the amount the register thought it should be. Being off by a dollar or so was not a big deal since almost everyone else was never more than a few cents off. We’d have them add up their checks on a printing calculator and make them do that again if the numbers didn’t match what they were supposed to be too. The cashiers weren’t supposed to have access to the totals ahead of time, but if anyone had had an eidetic memory they theoretically could have memorized the numbers from the register receipt printout on the way to the backroom.) ;-) She was the epitome of the ditzy blonde, but she had great people skills and was fun to work with. ;-) Having worked in retail as long as I had, I’m sure I counted out thousands of register drawers over the years. The unnamed protagonist would only have needed to do simple math and maybe some multiplication if he were required to calculate tax by himself. If the wait staff had to do all of this themselves, I’d say Danny deserves at least some of the blame for not providing calculators and/or a proper electronic cash register. A small investment on Danny’s part would alleviate a large portion of his stress. A case of penny-wise, pound foolish. I hope the sexy customer walked out with the protagonist and took him to dinner! ;-)
  24. I’m wondering about the deal too. But I’m also curious about what the Lion and Goat on the rings mean. Aside from whose point of view this was written from, I think it’s interesting that Derek’s name was mentioned only once, but his brother’s name was mentioned nine times. That seems very significant! ;-)

    Chapter 19

So we can blame you for Hawk getting sick? ;-)
