  1. Nice how the relationship between father and son improves! Michael is really important for this progress, sometimes it is good to have someone with a look from the outside. :-)
  2. Kendall`s father had luck. This kind of cancer is so bad. And he is although lucky, because his son is so forgiving. :-)
  3. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, who doesn`t like you. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, one for me and you. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, I am your fan. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, eat you whenever I can. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, makes everything good. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna, comfy-food I understood. Lasagna, lasagna, lasagna.......
  4. Going to the hotel room is a good decision. Gives everyone a recovery period, and the reader a reason to open the window to let the increasing heat out.
  5. Good for Kendalls father to change, even if I can not take for excuse, that he behaved this way because of his own father. I hope for Kendall, that this works out. :-)

    Chapter 48

“It’s hard to break, so he can do it, with effort.” I think it should be ‘but he can do it.’ And now the pieces are coming together. Royal Valley is becoming a very progressive place! Someone should found a College there since it’s where so much learning is already happening. Teaching that knowledge should be formalized. RVC would instantly become the premiere educational center of all Blethos, A’Dore, and Creid.
  7. If the box has a secret compartment, it won’t be more pot hiding in there, it’d be some other, probably stronger, drugs. Does George’s coin box have drugs hidden in it too? ;-) Brett is going to be highly resistant to therapy, as much as he needs it. But at least Jen is starting to act like a parent for once. It took her long enough.
  8. Ian reached for the bedside cupboard to retrieve the bottle of lube… While it’s possible someone might have a cupboard next to their bed, it’s more common to have a nightstand – that’s a common place to store lube and condoms. Some headboards have storage, so that would be another alternative. I hope we’re getting closer to finding out about the mysterious Alexei. He seems to be the biggest barrier to any future with Michael.
  9. The series is available on Hulu, ABC Go, and iTunes (probably limited to certain markets). International viewers (and others) can currently find all of the episodes on the usual torrent sites – but I certainly wouldn’t suggest that anyone do anything illegal! ;-)

    Happy Birthday!

I always thought that having a birthday on December 25th was the worst one to have, but it looks like April 1st might be in the running too! The widowed husband of one of my best friends was born on April 1st. She used to call him her April Fool. He was one of the first straight guys who was totally comfortable with my being Gay. They even let me have a subscription to a Gay porn magazine sent to their address – I showed them samples of the magazine and they both looked through them and commented on the guys. Another straight friend was there and really didn’t want to look, but we kind of bullied him into it. ;-) I’ve been out of contact with him since shortly after she died about 10 years ago. I think I want to try to contact him, but I’m kind of afraid of how he’ll react after all this time. I don’t want to dredge up bad memories of his wife’s death (cancer). But my therapists thinks I should.

    Fool Me Once

I had the feeling there was some sort of mix up as soon as he got picked up at the airport. And then there were the series of reasons why it wasn’t cleared up all along the way. Very clever! And, yes, San Francisco is a very beautiful place. But it’s also one of the most expensive places in the world to live. So come to visit, but please don’t stay! ;-)

    Getting Caught

I’m glad I never worked at a place like that! One of the guys I met when I was homeless used to like to prank people. He told me about putting pennies in a friend’s shoes. The guy could never figure out where they were coming from! ;-)

    Fool's Gold

What a horrible man! Lots of twists and turns. The ending was a little bloodier than I expected, but I was kind of surprised by the revelation that the lawyer is his boyfriend.

    Downhearted

At first I was a little puzzled by the seeming incongruity of the very child-like backpack and classroom description with the statement that Peter is 18. And then it made perfect sense when Downs was mentioned. Evan handled everything except the initial encounter perfectly – and even that wasn’t really his fault. There are two guys with Down’s Syndrome who actually made a movie that was shown at a film festival. When they first started working on it few people thought they’d be able to do it, but there was a news report about their attempt. That got a lot of people excited to help out and the follow up story showed them going to their premiere! ;-) I appreciate stories that include characters that aren’t usually seen in Gay fiction. There is a lot more intersectionality going on that we tend to ignore. We are everywhere!

    Served Cold

Well I liked the twist at the end. I was expecting something else, maybe that he managed to get a book published of his own. But this was even better. ;-)

    The Real Me

There’s at least one Pit Prowler who would be very upset to read this story… ;-)

    Chasing Jayce

Well, it was well written, so I liked it, but I thought the joke was too cruel. Straight guys have murdered Transwomen because they thought they had had sex with a cis woman only to find out the truth. This is not something to joke about.

    Chapter 58

It’s good that the guys are recovering. And thinking about the future. Maybe Tony can gain control of those car dealerships and start selling his beloved Mercedes-Benzes! ;-)
  19. Seems that Kendall is strong enough to face his father and luckily he has Michael on his side. This must be hard for him. But I think it is a good move.
  20. One thing I like most about your stories is that almost everything always work out good. This is really joyful to read! It makes me think of you as a very strong, positive person, seeing the good things, if you are able to write like this. I came to understand that you have/had a difficult time to go through, but I guess and feel free to correct me if I am wrong, the love and good things of your life shine through in your stories. Hugs Lyssa
  21. A little embarrassment always good to widen the horizon. ;-) A nice way to make some feeling at home is to take him in in family jokes. And Kendall was more than able to cope well. LOL Poor Chet he got my sympathy.
  22. There is nothing compared to coming home to a loving nest.
  23. The call to Michael`s parents was good. :-) And I am glad that they could handle his jealousy. Some people consider jealousy romantic, but it is a very big source to cause pain and I can see nothing romantic about it. So dealing with it in a productive way is great. :-)

    Chapter 12

I guess dad thinks things are back to normal if he’s started doing the pranks again! ;-) Whatever is going on with Patrick is not really clear. No money to eat lunch. His parents don’t seem to be too concerned about his whereabouts. These seem to be possible signs of neglect, but there could be other explanations. And I think you meant inbred, not ‘in bread.’
  25. I like it, if people are able to make strong decisions!
