    Chapter 8

"I called my informant. The man said he had news. Reginald Osborne asked for a special service in one of the clubs. He booked a girl for Saturday night. My informant talked with her. Osborne had already once booked the woman. She said Osborne will pick her up at the club on Saturday evening and will drive with her to a secluded place. She said he was a dirty skunk, but paid a lot of money. She was not scared. She said she could cope with his liking as long as he paid her well. And she said she k

    Chapter 7

Steve’s informant reported that Reginald Osborne was well known in S&M circles. He was a regular visitor to the clubs and he often required special services that were illegal and were only offered in secrecy. Since Osborne paid big amounts of money for these services, he usually got what he wanted and usually found women willing to participate in his perverted games. "It is said that he likes to play a mock murder game with the women," Steve said with a stern look. "Much like Janet Walker e

    Chapter 1

Thanks for reading and commenting, Stephen. I'm happy you're enjoying the story. I read about the antique mafia in a magazine. The article inspired me to use the term.

    Chapter 6

"Oh my god, what happened?" Steve asked in bewilderment. "You look as if you’ve seen a ghost." "So to speak," Adam replied. He told Steve of his conversation with Timothy Baker. "I’ve meanwhile read on that Aztec ritual. The heart was cut out, arms and legs were cut off, the corpse was skinned, parts of the bodies were burned, parts were fed to animals, and...," Steve said, swallowing. "Parts were eaten," he finished his sentence. "Ritual cannibalism," Adam confirmed. Steve closed his eyes f
  10. Cool! Looks great.
  11. Yes, I love to experiment with music also. I sometimes listen to the same song over and over again while writing. ----------------------- Thank you. I love your writing. Glad you're back.
  12. An article by Mark Nichol. I tried out several of the tips and I found them very helpful. Thought I share the link. http://www.dailywritingtips.com/10-experiential-writing-prompts/
  13. Gregory Parker (Fair Enough) What the hell was I supposed to do? Murder was not an option. Or rather, it would have been my last resort. Gregory Parker was fifty-two years of age. He was well-off and he was a man who showed he was wealthy. His clothes were elegant, he had a large mansion, he owned several companies, and his five cars were expensive. The marriage with Gloria had added to his wealth. He had married the woman two years ago. Gloria Parker was twenty-six years of age.
  14. Gloria Parker (Playing on his Fears) From Gloria Parker’s diary: 8th August, 1996 My mood has changed for the better. I finally took steps to regain control. The previous weeks were awful. I noticed that things were subtly changing, yet I did not know why and I did not know what to do. Whatever I thought of, I knew it would not work out. I was not able to make up a perfect plan. This was greatly disturbing me. I felt increasingly restless and depressed. My sleep was fitful and I

    Chapter 5

"A sadomasochistic club whose activities got out of hand? And Reginald Osborne is a specialist in Aztec culture?" Steve asked after Adam had informed him on his conversation with his father. He nodded thoughtfully. "Yes," Adam replied. "He was a serious scientist when he was younger. He discovered a few remarkable objects. The discoveries made him famous and he established quite a reputation. But he changed considerably over the years. He became extravagant, flamboyant, and arrogant. Rumors sp

    Chapter 4

David Johnson stood by the window and looked outside. He watched Adam’s car coming up the drive. Adam’s father hurried to open the door. They exchanged a look. David made a gesture with his hand and Adam entered. His father closed the door quickly. They sat down in the living room. David poured them coffee. "What do you think?" Adam asked. "Can it be sheer coincidence?" his father asked back. "No, definitely not. I’m just wondering why they put Jeremiah Irons on the list. He was a man with con
  18. Frederick (Designed for Greatness?) What intrigued me most about him was his ability to put his dreams on paper. He found accurate words and he had the courage to write them down, even publish his stories and poems in a time when the dreams he dreamed were supposed to be dreamed in private. I thought he was courageous, but perhaps he was just naive and was entirely unaware of the risk he took with presenting his dreams to the public, strangers who had no idea of who he was and what his d
  19. I Can’t Even Remember I am now back in Winchester After what I shall call an “interesting” weekend Singing, playing bass and tattooing is my life I won't fall like the rest of them They've come and gone with the wind At this point your mental blackout begins and The screen fades to black until the next day I want a night to remember Today is a day I would rather forget I keep trying to turn the corner But I just can't seem to do it My lazy, awkward boyfriend Suddenly remembers it

    Chapter 3

Thanks for reading and reviewing, Bill. Yes, there are two stories titled Cold Case and it was confusing people a bit. Alex and I have meanwhile adjusted our posting schedules. I'll be updating my story on Tuesdays. Alex will be posting on Thursdays. So hopefully this will make things a littles easier for those who read both of the stories. Thanks again.

    Chapter 3

Adam and Steve visited the Spanish Steps and then went to Jeremiah Iron’s shop. The shop was locked and sealed by the police. They looked into the shop window. A few wooden art objects were displayed. They looked cheap and not appealing and they were covered with dust. "Like Sassetti said, Irons didn’t intend to make a living with his shop. I can’t imagine he ever sold anything of that stuff," Steve said. "I can’t imagine anybody wants to buy that stuff. Cheap, rotten, dreadful, covered with du

    Chapter 2

Thanks for reading and leaving a comment, joann. I'm happy you liked the two chapters and hope you'll be enjoying the the next ones also.
  24. Hi KC, I saw this too. The GA system allows for duplicate titles. I was thinking about changing the title of my story, but I finished the story a couple of weeks ago and the title always was Cold Case. It fits the story and so I refrained from changing it. I think readers won't get confused as they can see the authors' names also. Thanks for being so kind and letting me know. And good luck to Alex. I sent him a PM on the matter. Everthing's fine now. Alex and I adjusted our posting schedules.
