  1. I just cut 50,000 words down to 15,000 and I'm still not happy with it. Think I finally give up on this story.
  2. Norway. Wow! Good! Called three times for Norway. Now let's wait for the results.
  3. After finishing the first draft, I put the story aside until I don't feel attached to it anymore. Then I start editing and I cut out - without regret - all the parts that do not work. But I also have an archive where I keep some of the cut-out pieces.
  4. Iceland. Nice Boy. Stupid song. Denmark's my favourite so far.
  5. I'm thinking of voting perhaps for The Netherlands. Ah, the Danish song. Not bad.
  6. Anyone watching? Horrible so far, I think.

    Chapter 1

A totally different approach to the theme, but a very good one!
  8. Thank you. Glad you liked my answer to the prompt.

    Chapter 1

    Very beautiful.
  10. I thought it was very good. It touched me.

  12. Thanks, comicfan. I'm happy you liked the piece. I'm planning to continue it during NaNoWriMo in November this year.
  13. Thanks for reading and commenting. I'm glad you liked it. I'm in fact planning to continue the story.
  14. Thanks for reading and leaving your thoughts. Yes, it's an introduction to a longer story and I'm planning to continue it, maybe in November, when doing NaNoWriMo. I'm glad you liked it.
  15. Stabbed "Your accusation's entirely out of place," Alexander Carmichael said sharply. "You suspect me of having murdered Amanda, don't you? You're wrong, detectives." He straightened and then continued, forcing himself to keep his voice calm. "Again, detectives. I have not seen my half-sister and I have not heard from her in twenty years. Apart from the letter she sent after our father's death. That was nine years ago. She accepted the inheritance, a monthly allowance in money, 5.000 pound
  16. Alexander Barnes (The Implant) It was just another morning, like so many others before. Doug had awoken with a slight headache that luckily had disappeared after having two cups of coffee. The doctors had not been able to help him and he had gotten used to the headaches over the years. Doug barely gave them a thought anymore. Two cups of coffee in the morning usually helped and Doug only needed a third cup later in the morning once or twice a month. He had given up his attempts at figuri
  17. An Old Elvish Cave "Come," Legolas said. I know a better place than this clearing. The place is not far away. He looked briefly up at the sky that was covered with storm clouds, before he turned back to Aragorn. "Come now, Aragorn. Come with me." Aragorn followed Legolas reluctantly. What the hell did the elf have in mind? They moved through the forest of evergreen trees and soon reached a small river that was running through high rocks. Legolas pointed at the other side of the rive
  18. I started out with LOTR role playing and LOTR fanfiction. I developed my writing skills over the years. I developed more original characters and subplots. And then I wrote an original short story with an entirely different background. That was kind of awesome. I could really do it. Without fanfiction I would never have started out with writing. And, like Bumblebee said, many fan fic authors put much time and effort in their writings.

    Sonic

Sonic This story was worth the wait. I’ll tell you about a matter I’m beginning to worry about. There’s a bit of randomness added to it, But the only thing you will have missed Is the experience of mellowing out your overnights With the smoothest blend of obsession. I moved into my dream home, but soon found out I’m not alone. I sneaked up to my bedroom and waited for it to get dark. Then the whispers started, like a beautiful sonic lazy river, And my sanity began to slowly unravel.
  20. Sally Hills (Not Guilty) It started a couple of months ago. We had read and discussed a text about an ancient prophecy. The text was dark and mysterious and I wanted to know more about it. Had someone just made it up or did it contain a grain of salt? Was it really supposed to come true? The text had disturbed me and that was why I approached him after class. I’m usually shy and don’t talk a lot. I usually do not approach other people. But I dared to speak to him and he responded kindly. I
