On the bathroom graffiti comments, I've never seeing the offerings you mentioned in any public bathroom. As far as how lesbians/bi's do? I've no idea since I'm straight and don't frequent clubs at all. My daughter and her partner are finally living with me again and they are planning on taking me out to a gay club (my first time) which is frequented more by lesbians than gay men. I'll let you know what'll happen after we come back, when ever that'll be. (She keeps telling me I need a woman and foget men! LOL!!) Ummm, NOO OO!!

Don't you wonder how many of those who complained on these books are bible stompers?

Sadly enough, living in a very small town, I've never seen couples of any gender (same sex) doing any kind of PDA. As a matter of fact, I only know of a female couple: One, they are very obvious insisting on looking like men. Two, not that I've ever seeing them holding hands or anything but because someone told me they are a couple. And now, my own daughter and her partner which always walk around holding hands. I also agree that I wouldn't want to see a couple, any couple, grouping/humping each other in public. "To Everything There Is A Place."

My heart goes out to you James. I'm in the process of finding a home for my parents, my daughter and myself. They are in their early 80s and mom is not well. Once she starts deteriorating I'll have to stay at home taking care of her. Dad is showing early signs of dementia and that's scary for he's the type that it's his way or the highway, stubborn as a mule! I guess he'll never stop being a professor, (taught all his life at the University of Puerto Rico) always 'teaching' us his ways. We've always been a very tight family and I know once either leave us it will be umbearable! I'm at least glad to read your daddy left with a smile on his face... Warm hugs to you.

Hug well received darling... It's hard to loose a pet, especially when it's considered a member of the family. Mine had just gotten to us by ways of my son and DIL. She rescues all kinds of critters all the time, and the one she gave me was also rescued. Poor car was messed up by dogs and had no claws, hair was all matted and was a total mess. I don't think I want to have another animal, at least not for a long time, I have my oldest daughters cockatiels and they are getting old. Once those are gone, I'll have to think very strong about getting another animal. You ARE a child, at least MY child! You want a cat? rescue one! I've never gotten a cat from a store, pound, etc. They've all been rescued. I had a blue/gray one who came to me almost dead, dehydrated, his baby head just hanging limp. He was just a little tiny kitten, the mother had abandoned him. I stayed up all night giving him pedialite until I couldn't keep my eyes opened any longer. In the morning I got scared thinking there was an intruder in the house. It was my little Pancho jumping all over the house learning his new home. He was the only one that lived the longest with us. I was preggo with D when he passed, I suffered his death almost like it was one of my own children, I loved him so much!!!

Well, luckily, neither one of my boys want kids and my daughter, even though she would like to have one sometime in the future, I keep telling her she's in no position to having one, too unstable ATM. Me? HELL NO!!! I don't wanna be a gramma!!!! I started all over again back in 2000 with D... She's plenty!

My youngest twin son, now 28, was also bullied in his firth grade BY GIRLS! He used to cry every day and suffered horrendous headaches. I talked to his teacher and asked her to stop the bullying. Two weeks later nothing was being done so I decided to take matters into my own hands. It worked. I went back to the teacher, who was this snob who boasted of having study psychology in Paris and told her that either the bullying stopped right then and there or she and I were going to meet at the parking lot. Next day it stopped. The ring leader happened to be the Art Teachers daughter!! I had always taught my boys to, no matter what, they were to never ever raise a hand toward a girl. There was also another girl, older by a couple of years who would mercilessly pull on his 'rat tail' (back in the 80's it was the fashion) and she would pull a handful of hair almost daily. I got fed up and told him that next time she did that he was to close his hand into a fist and punch her as hard as he could on the chest. He did that and the hair pulling stopped that day. Sometimes you have to go with the drastic to achieve something. The school where D goes to has a program called 21st Century where they teach several things after school, one being Karate. She does not want to continue with it but I insist. I believe every girl nowadays needs to know some sort of defense, prepare them for what might happen. She, like Nephylim's son, is quite big for her age and I swear, she looks like a quarter back from behind, she would be a great candidate for football!!! She's 9 and also 5 ft. tall and although she doesn't see the bullying, she spends her 'outside' time alone on the swings just because her so called friends refuse to let her play with them. I wonder if the other girls are in a way intimated by her height although there are plenty just as tall as she is. Do NOT allow it to happen, take action. Talk to the principal. If he/she won't listen, go to the school board, but don't stay silent!! Hell, get the media involved!!! Someone will listen eventually! Plus, the principal/school board would not want their school as being categorized as a bully sheltering school! As far as watching the news? I gave up on that a few months ago. I feel like every time you turn on the tube you can see blood coming out of it! It's like there are no good things to talk about so I'm not interested in it. Ask your children's school if they have programs similar to what we have here.

It's been a while since I held a stick on my hands but yeah, I've owned one in the past, now I have a Chevy Van which, even though it's old, i wouldn't change it for anything, it's too comfortable to drive and maneuver although I miss my AWD. Can even handle a large truck, not an 18 wheeler, that'd be a tad too much for me.

Right now, a couple of Ibuprofen, shower and bed sound quite good to me!! UGH.

Baby Doll, the last thing I want to see is any of my eChildren to feel helpless, loveless, unwanted, hurt, in distress. I only wish I could reach further, to more kids out there who are in desperate need of the warmth they are not receiving at home. You were one of the very first I met here and it was like a magnet! I'm only glad I was there when you needed someone to listen to you, to reassure you that life can be a beautiful thing but only if you let it be. (Why can't I listen to my own words? Seems like I never learn!) I do apologize for not being available as of lately, ATM I'm carrying a ton of bricks on my shoulders and have been practically avoiding everyone. So for that, I do apologize but don't give up on me, keep pestering me, eventually I'll look up toward you again... When our cat died in my arms this morning, D was sitting right there next to me so she saw Baby make her last kicks and her last loud breath and watched as her head flopped to my chest. I had already warned D that the cat was not going to make it but how can you deal with a child who doesn't understand the whys and hows? I don't EVER want another animal in my house, it seems like every cat, dog, horse we get dies too soon. The only tough ones have been the 2 Cockatiel birds which are old already but we are quite attached to them. They are both male, always kissing and playing silly games. Much Luv my dear...
