What or who exactly is VIREX? I know I started this late, but I almost feel that a prologue or part one was missed, is there something in front of this story?

Jason is realizing that at 35, it is time to start setting down roots. The issue is the roots he wants to settle into is his brother-in-law and his son. Yes, his sister has been gone for years, but some people will never understand. Jason is starting to see a life with Gavin as his partner and them living together, can we hope that it happens? Matthew is mostly straight, and really self-composed for a 17-year-old. Some people simply should never have children and Rory's parent are some of them. Matthew and Rory sharing a room and Jason and Gavin sharing a room. So many possibilities, as long as they don't swap roommates, I will be good with almost anything that happens. And all of you need to get your mind out of the gutters. LOL.

My concern at least partially is that they are older. Mary Louise was very sexually aggressive in the first story with several men. She was rebuffed for different reasons, but teenage boys aren't known for their understanding of sexual nuances and good judgement.

We haven't actually met him, but Quentin seems to be looming more in this story. Backstory would be nice for him. Well, color me shocked and impressed. I don't know what I was expecting for Nathan's affinity but that was a shock. He has lived a very lonely life and seems that his parents were not good people, at least to him, how did the die? The use of color and music made so much sense, and in a way, it helped explain a few things that I wondered about previously.

Sounds like the boys are settling in, and a nanny would be smart, even if Vanessa doesn't work, four kids would be a lot. All of the boys will probably need some counseling at some point. Mary Louise with two teen boys, what could possibly go wrong.

The meeting with the Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister went better than I expected. Neither still seems to understand what lengths Granger will go to in order to protect those he cares for and that are in his orbit. Cavendish at least made them consider the issues with going against Granger in a public fashion. Cavendish while out of favor with his father, still has considerable pull and is more than just astute dealing with the politics of the day. Carmella is good for Granger, and he treats her accordingly. They will never be more than they are, but that doesn't mean they should not be able to enjoy each other and try to keep each other happy and comfortable in their own ways. Much like dealing with his ships, Granger is not afraid to try new things. Nash was a genius and Granger and his how will be the talk of the ton.

Loved everything about this one. Can't wait to see Graham in a gym.

@drsawzall is right, for a group of supposedly super advanced beings, they seem to walk into traps awful frequently.

A team of them without any humanity. Loved the interaction in the food court.

Are whomever being behind this trying to replicate this team or create something less human more machine.

Well, I finally finished all the stories except for the one that was pulled. My comments were brief and only did recommendations on all but one story. Will try and go back to do reviews later. Had right shoulder surgery and can't use my right arm/hand at all and I am very right hand dominant. Typing with just the left, and being in pain just too much right now. Some really excellent stories.

Yikes, well 911 is only used for emergencies in the Americas and in parts of the Caribbean.

Well, I used to love Escape Rooms, not sure how I feel now. LOL

This is another just begging for a whole book. Sometimes you hide who you really are to protect yourself, or to protect others. Only you can decide who you want in your life. Family can be chosen and often are the best for you. No hate, no negativity.
